Volunteers Needed

"Are you handy with tools? The Facilities Committee is looking for volunteers to help with some general maintenance of the building on Saturday, Nov. 21st, from 9:00 am to noon. We will be doing minor jobs like patching small blemishes in drywall, paint touch up, and other small tasks. Board Announcement by Cody Thompson

New committees are being formed and the board will be looking for parent volunteers to participate in the operation of the school. Please look for these opportunities in the coming weeks and find a committee that you would enjoy working on.

A preschool admission policy has been approved. This policy can be found on the Flagstaff web site.

The board has worked with staff to create a new version of the K-8 admission policy and this policy has now been approved. The main changes in this version are that admission is now based on a first come first served rather than a lottery; another change was that no new students will be admitted after Oct 1. Please see the admission policy on the Flagstaff web site.

The board is in the process of creating a fund-raising policy. The board discussed a first draft of this document which was included in the board packet for November 3, 2009 and is available on the Flagstaff website under the board documents section. Feel free to take a look at all off the documents the board reviewed Tuesday night.

The Board of Directors meet every 1st Tuesday of the month for Work Session Board Meetings, and every 3rd Tuesday of the month for Regular Board Meetings. All Board meetings are open to the public, and the agenda including time and location is posted on the website 24 hours prior to the meeting.
