The chamber ensemble Le Rossignol was founded in 2001 by Joshua Getzler (baroque flute/recorder/voice flute) and Francis Knights to explore the 17th and 18th century chamber music repertoire for flute and recorder.  Programmes have often focused on specific national repertoires, such as early 18th-century London or Paris in the mid-Baroque.
