This is an inquiry-based instructional unit designed for First Grade students.  It will be a controlled inquiry process for the students as they utilize the Super 3 model to learn about family lifestyles.  Through examining their own family as well as a selected group from the past (Pilgrims or Pioneers), their process and products will address numerous Indiana Academic standards and Information Literacy Standards.  Students will learn about a variety of family traditions and lifestyles, in addition to developing valuable information literacy skills through the utilization of a variety of resources.
