The Section is composed of individuals belonging to one of two membership categories:

General Members are American Fisheries Society members in good standing who pay annual Section dues for general membership. Membership entitles them to full voting privileges and receiving all mailings and other benefits of the Section.

To become a General Member of the Fish Culture Section, visit the American Fisheries Society at http://www.fisheries.org/afs/membership.html and select the FCS when prompted to choose AFS Unit membership. 

Affiliate Members are individuals who are not members of the American Fisheries Society, but who pay annual Section dues for affiliate membership. They are entitled to receive all privileges of General Members of the Section except that Affiliate Members cannot vote, hold office, serve as committee chairs, or subscribe to the North American Journal of Aquaculture at the AFS member rate.
