First Baptist Church is an independent group of believers who have chosen to cooperate with other Southern Baptist churches in spreading the Good News of Christ around the world. We share a common bond in our basic Biblical beliefs as well as our commitment to worldwide evangelism. We believe the Bible is God's Word inspired by Him to reveal His truth and love to all mankind. We believe in one God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each being fully God. We believe that forgiveness of sin can only be had through faith in Jesus Christ who was crucified, buried and arose again to give us victory over sin and death. We believe the Church is the Body of Christ on earth with the responsibility of carrying the Good News of Christ to the whole world.
