First Baptist Church recently went through a process called ReFocusing which led our church family to come together and examine our rich heritage as well as guide us in determining God's will for our future. This process has helped us become more intentional and spontaneous in our ministry for Christ. ReFocusing was not intended to be an "end" but only springboard toward our tomorrows. As a result we have come up (so far) with five Task Force Teams that are functioning to carry out God's purposes. Significance of the Logo The Cross Symbolizes a Christ-centered Church. (Colossians 1:18) The Dove Represents a Church empowered by the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 3:20) The Arrows Indicate a Great Commission Church reaching out in various ways in our community to bring those of all ages to Christ. (1 Timothy 2:3,4) Four Squares The four squares formed by the arrows symbolize the four task force teams that characterize a Church accomplishing its God ordained assignments. (Ephesians 2:10) Circles Signify a Church family united in Christ. (Galatians 3:28) Step Out In Faith This statement denotes a Church obedient to Christ.
