My younger sisters love to dance.  Anytime, anywhere, and on any furniture!  Sometimes vaulting off the couch and doing a split on the kitchen chairs doesn't turn out so well.  So this new book from American Girl is excellent for an active seven year old and five year old.  It starts out with easy warm-up exercises to help their muscles and minds get ready to move and dance.  Next, the book sets the stage with tips on comfy clothes, must-see dance movies, and perfect dance tunes.

Girls are taught about choreography and how to bring objects to life through dance.  The dos and don'ts of dance class are explained, as well as what to expect and how to behave.  Tips
for tryouts and show times are explained.  Plus tips on what to do if you mess up and how to dance with people (i.e., boys!) are perfect for those of us with two left feet.

The last few pages of the book incorporate crafty ideas for headbands and five fun mini-posters, perfect for closets or lockers.  My sisters love this book, and are always super excited to try some of the fun ideas presented in a colorful, easy to read format.
