How The Media Lies

This is a revealing nineties documentary on how the corporate "news" media lies to us. I especially found the segment beginning at 29:00 minutes interesting.
Katie Couric, an advocate for rape victims, is doing a program on Christopher Columbus during which a local station conducts an interview with a native historian who reveals that Columbus and his ship-mates kidnapped native women and kept them as sex slaves, among other horrid revelations. Shortly after the brief interview ends, NBC decides not to include it and once Katie pauses for a commercial break, she puts down what the historian and others said about Columbus and even mocks them! So if Katie really does care so much about rape victims, why does she dismiss valid information about sexual slavery without a second thought?
It is obvious that Katie Couric (now with CBS) is two-faced, but so are other big media personalities such as Larry King and of course Jane Mitchell. This documentary also shows us how fake politicians can be and how a number of them work with big media in deceiving viewers to hike up profits on both sides.
