Phase 1 - The Research Bit Here's what you need to do:1. Choose a Natural Disaster to research. You will have two days to complete your research in class. If you need to do more, it will have to be at home! 2. Search the web for any and all information you can find. Actually, you just want to find basic information to get you started. Write down things like who, where, when, why, how, etc. If you find anything interesting, write that down too. 3. Complete the research sheet! Notice that you are asked to record the details and the source. You will be asked to turn this in and I will be grading it. I've attached a copy below. You can fill it out while in the lab and email it to me if you want. Or you can fill it out the old school way and I'll collect it. 4. Eventually (next week) you will be putting together a product (powerpoint, website) based on your natural disaster. You'll be asked to decide what to include (the info you think is important from your research). Ask me questions if you want more details about this:) 5. Have fun!!! Phase 2 - The Project Part Here's what you need to do: 1. You will have two days to put together a powerpoint presentation (or something similar) during class time. If you need to do more, it will have to be at home! 2. Gather all of your research and put it into a product of your choosing. You will be presenting this to the class next week, so make sure everyone in the classroom will be able to read the text and see the pictures. 3. There are no specific requirement for how many slides, what information is to be included, and how many pictures you need to include. I am asking you to make those decisions for your presentation. 4. When you present next week, you should plan on speaking for 2-5 minutes. Make sure you have enough info/pictures to speak for that long! 5. I have attached a sample powerpoint below for you to review if needed. 6. Have fun!!! To turn in your powerpoint: 1. Save it (include your name when you save it) 2.
