Salmiakki (sal ammoniac) is one of the Finnish specialities. It is a salty licorice candy. Salmiakki is a black candy with a sweet and sour taste. You will either love it or hate it but remember to taste it! Also Finlandia Shop sells these salmiakki sweets.

Our foreign members have recommended Finnish "omenalimonadi" (apple lemonade, with almost the colour of cola drinks) and originally Swedish "Pommac" (mixed fruit lemonade). You get them from supermarkets.

Taste also Finnish "Rili - Arctic Black Taste", a soft drink with the flavour of tar. You can buy it from many K Shops. More details at http://www.rili.fi.
