Finishing Touches UK is an independantly owned business. We pride ourselves in being a caring and friendly operator and following on from our work with the Trefoil Guild as providers to the Executive Commitee of the National Council for the Annual Meeting weekend since 2007.
Caroline, our tour organiser has many years experience in the travel industry both as an organiser and as a long standing member of the International Association of Tour Managers. In addition she is an active local Trefoil Guild member who has had many enjoyable years in Guiding during which time she has held a variety of posts including Brownie & Guide Guider, County Young Leader Advisor, County Commonwealth & International Advisor and was a Lone Young Leader Guider for BGIFC.
We provide an extensive range tours for all ages - each of which can be created or customised to meet individual group requirements. Our programmes include secret gardens, castles & manor houses, stately homes, literary & heritage themes, steam trains and antiques incorporating private visits & ‘behind the scenes’ tours often accompanied by, for example, the owner, curator or head gardener.
We have a completely flexible approach ensuring that we will be on hand to help and advise you from the planning stage right through to the end of the tour. We believe that our strengths lie in attention to detail, personalised service and ‘added value’ items that bring a wow factor to the tour.

Your Financial Security when booking with Finishing Touches UK
To conform to the requirements of the EU Package Tour regulations of 1992, we are required to provide protection for the money clients send us. This means that we have to operate one of the following:
- have adequate ABTA bonding
- have company failure insurance in place
- have a Client Trust Account set up for the depositing and holding of client funds
Finishing Touches have a Client Trust Account in place for our clients' monies. In the event of the company failure, the money held in this trust account would be administered by the trustees and returned to clients. Under the terms of the trust monies are held until the end of the tour except in exceptional circumstances where some elements of the package may need pre-paying.
For holidays involving air transportation all our flights are arranged through the booking centre of Hays Travel who are fully ATOL & ABTA bonded and the details of this bonding is shown on all flight documentation issued on our behalf for this. Please note that some of the ‘low-cost’ operators are not covered by the ATOL regulations (irrespective of whether it is booked through an ATOL or ABTA covered operator or not) but in all cases when these are used clients are advised accordingly prior to confirming arrangements with the respective carrier. |
