Trefoil Guild Annual Meeting
Southend-on-Sea 10 - 13 June 2011


Why not join the Executive Committee at the 2011 Trefoil Guild Annual Meeting in Southend-on-Sea to be held at the Cliffs Pavilion. We are delighted to offer members of the Guild a selection of two and three night packages at a range of excellent hotels. Take the opportunity to catch up with old friends and enjoy a fun weekend including evening entertainment and wonderful excursions. Why not extend your break with either the London Theatre & Guiding Heritage pre tour or the post tour to beautiful Jersey?


ITINERARY

Friday 10th June 2011
On arrival make your way to your hotel for check-in. Complementary transport will be available for arrivals into the railway station during the afternoon if pre-booked with us. Time to relax, meet old friends and enjoy dinner.

Saturday 11th June 2011
Morning at leisure. Complementary return transport from your hotel to the Annual Meeting at the Cliffs Pavilion is available if required. After an early dinner complementary return transport will again be available for those attending the evening event being arranged by the local Region.

Sunday 12th June 2011
After a leisurely breakfast why not join one of the optional excursions available today. Return to the hotel in time for an early dinner. An entertainment evening will be arranged by Finishing Touches UK.

Monday 13th June 2011
Morning check out from your hotel for the return journey home or to join the post tour to Jersey. Complementary transport will be available to the railway station for departures during the morning if pre-booked with us.


Park Inn Southend-on-Sea (3 Star)
Located along Southend's Western Esplanade, overlooking the mouth of the River Thames in the heart of the town's tourist area, the stylish Park Inn is the newest full service hotel in Southend-on-Sea. Guest room amenities include flat-screen TVs, freeview channels, in-room safe, and tea/coffee making facilities. Parking is available in the Royals Shopping Centre directly opposite the hotel. Please note, this is a public car park and charges will apply (‘first come, first served basis’ and is not pre-bookable).


The Holiday Inn Basildon (3 Star)
A modern hotel located in nearby Basildon overlooks a lake and garden. Rooms are en-suite facilities with high speed internet access, TV’s, telephones, hairdryers and coffee/tea making facilities. Lift access to all floors, free on-site car parking (not pre-bookable).


Premier Inn Basildon (3 Star)
Conveniently located near the motorway network in nearby Basildon close to Festival Leisure Park. All rooms are en-suite with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Please note there are no lifts at this hotel. Free on-site parking (not pre-bookable).

Prices are per person, based on two people sharing a double or twin bedded room. A small number of single rooms are available at the supplements per night shown above. Optional return coach travel is available from regions around the country, please call for details.

  • two or three nights accommodation including full breakfast and a 3-course evening meal (where stated)
  • complimentary transport from the railway station for arrivals on Friday afternoon and departures on Monday morning only are available if required
  • transport to and from the AM on Saturday afternoon and the evening event on Saturday

Sunday Excursions & Entertainment (Optional)
Full day excursions and evening entertainment available include:
  • scenic tour around Constable Country with an included visit to Bridge Cottage and Flatford Mill

  • a morning in Chelmsford followed by an included afternoon visit to Ingatestone Hall and Gardens
  • Sunday evening entertainment with complementary return transport if required.

As usual we will be arranging coach travel to and from Southend-on-Sea from various areas of the country – details of routes and pick up times will be forwarded with your booking confirmation.
