The Udall Foundation offers two amazing opportunities for Native American and Alaska Native students:

Native American Congressional Internship: This ten-week summer internship in Washington, D.C. is for Native American and Alaska Native students (undergraduate, graduate, law, and recent graduates) who wish to learn more about the federal government and issues affecting Indian Country. The internship is fully funded: the Foundation provides round-trip airfare, housing, per diem for food and incidentals, and a stipend at the close of the program. The application deadline is January 29.

Morris K. Udall Scholarship: This $5,000 is awarded to 80 undergraduate sophomores and juniors pursuing careers related to Tribal Public Policy, Native Health Care, or the Environment (you must be a Native American/Alaska Native to be eligible in the first two categories). Udall Scholars also get to attend the Udall Scholar Orientation and are immediately plugged into a growing and active alumni network. The application deadline is March 2, but interested students should contact the Montana State University Udall faculty representative immediately. Please visit our website for a fill listing of Udall faculty representatives.

Please remind Tribal College Librarians members of these upcoming deadlines!  More information is available at http://www.udall.gov.
