What will happen during the Final Seven years before Jesus Returns?

Everyone on the planet needs to read this:

I know for most of us, it is difficult to believe. Is it really the end time? Is Jesus Christ actually returning in our generation? How can we really know for sure? What evidence do we have? If you have had no exposure to the prophecies of the Bible, I completely understand your skepticism. If I had never studied Bible prophecy thoroughly, I would have probably closed my mind to any possibility of Christ's return in my lifetime. But the fact of the matter is, there are plenty of unquestionable signs that tell us it is, in fact, the generation of Jesus' triumphant return. I know that sounds like wild speculation to some of us, but I ask that you would at least read over the whole time line with an open mind and bookmark this page. It really won’t take long, and I promise, you’ll be very glad that you did.

     Please be aware if you're currently mocking and scoffing at the reality of Jesus Christ’s return to earth, you are actually fulfilling more Bible prophecy: II Peter 3:3-7 says, “First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, "Where is this 'coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.”                

     Please read over the time line. I pray it is received with seriousness and that you would truly contemplate the importance of eternal salvation. There is a nuclear war coming that will kill over two billion people, spiritual deception is everywhere, and most importantly, Jesus Christ is returning to judge you and me. God says in Hosea 4:6, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." But He cares about us so deeply, He wants us to gain knowledge of Him and His plan for our generation - there is far more about it in the Scriptures than any other:

Confirmation of the Covenant

The Confirmation of the Covenant refers to a Peace Treaty that will be signed by Israel, supported by several members of the international community, and confirmed by a very significant individual. It is the Confirmation of the Covenant that God made with Abraham in Genesis 15 when He promised him that the land of Israel would belong to his descendants who would “number like the stars of the heavens.” In order for the accord to be the Confirmation of the Covenant, internationally recognized borders for Israel must be established. Most likely, the status of the city of Jerusalem will be agreed upon in the same treaty. This will confirm Israel’s right to exist as a nation for the Jewish people just as God promised to Abraham (confirming the covenant), as well as make way for the construction of the Jewish Temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem. If the status of Jerusalem is not a part of the treaty, it will be negotiated and settled during the following forty-two months. The Israelis and Palestinians will probably share Jerusalem as a joint capital, and they will definitely share the Temple Mount (Revelation 11:1-2). This shows us very clearly that the current “Middle East Roadmap for Peace,” which includes these exact issues, is actually a road map to start the final seven years. Daniel 9:27 says, “He will confirm the covenant with many for one ‘seven’” (7 years). Who is the ‘he’ in this passage? Verse 26 tells us it is“the prince that shall come.” This man is also referred to in Scripture as the “man of lawlessness,” “the king of the North,” “the man of sin,” “the little horn,” “the beast,” and “the Antichrist.” He will either sign or be involved in completing the peace deal. Much more information is given about this man in further sections. Jeremiah 6:14 is a good prophecy of what will happen; it says, "They have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace.” Isaiah 28:18 calls the agreement that Israel will make a 'covenant with death and hell': "And your covenant with death shall be annulled; your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then you shall be trodden down by it.” God will, in no way, be pleased with this so-called "peace" agreement. The Lord does not want His people's land to have any division, and He will inevitably bring judgment upon all the nations that even acquiesce to the treaty. At the end of the seven years, the Lord Himself will stand against those who stood against His “people Israel because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up [His] land” (Joel 3:2). The most important things to know regarding the Confirmation of the Covenant are the facts that it will be a Mideast Peace Treaty that will not actually bring peace for very long, and it will trigger the final seven years to the return of Jesus Christ.

A- Sixth Trumpet War

The war that is coming to earth, understandably, seems virtually unfathomable for most of us. In World War I, 8.3 million soldiers were killed. In World War II, fifty-two million people died. This was truly remarkable for mankind back in the 1940’s. Prior to that time, no one had ever seen such massive amounts of death and demolition in such a short period of time, and most people have thought that it will never occur again. However, the first five trumpets of Revelation have already sounded, and the war that is inevitably coming will be worse than anything the human race has ever experienced. In Revelation 9, verses 15 and 18 both state explicitly that it will kill one-third of mankind. Yes, that is over two billion people! It seems unthinkable, but it will take place. Amazingly, verse 14 tells us it will emanate from the area of the Euphrates River-the area of Iraq, Turkey, and Syria-with Iran right next door (Surprise, Surprise). Certainly nuclear weapons and many countries will be involved. We do not know for certain which countries will be involved; however, at this point in time, China and Iran (with their ally in Russia) seem to pose the biggest nuclear threats to the world. Verse 16 says, “The number of the mounted troops was two hundred million. I heard their number.” This is very interesting considering Mao Tse-Tung, the late leader of China, boasted on numerous occasions that he could field an army of 200 million troops in a day. This atheist leader boasted the exact figure in the Bible, and there has never been a possibility of 200 million soldiers to come from any other country to this day. So the verse could be referring to an army from Red-China, but it could also be a referring to a united Islamic army. Currently, 1.6 billion people in the world are Muslim. That number is only going to continue to increase, and it is certainly possible that 200 million of them are Islamic extremists who are ready to unite and fight. Perhaps the war will be triggered by the Taliban getting their hands on nuclear weapons and attacking America. This is not to mention North Korea and India. But regardless of how this war happens, the Muslims who survive it will probably be even more vicious after the sixth trumpet sounds. Dangerous Muslim groups like Hamas, Tehran, Hezbollah, and others could become far more dangerous in their reckless terrorism; the Muslim Brotherhood is no friendly brotherhood. Many people will be systematically starved to death, which won't be difficult due to the fact that this war will be followed by a terrible global food shortage. This world-changing war will take place either just before or just after the Confirmation of the Covenant. It actually seems much more likely that it will take place before the treaty (so before the final 7 years begin) because it will, undoubtedly, be followed by a cry for peace like this world has never known, which would be the perfect opportunity for the international community to force a peace agreement in the Middle East. But note that we do not know the specific span of time between this war and the Middle East Peace Treaty. It could be any duration from a few weeks to a few years. We will simply have to wait and see how it unfolds. When this unthinkable war does take place, it will throw the world into chaos as people everywhere will begin looking for answers to many of life’s most serious and important questions. At a very rapid rate, a number of people will find the answers in the right place and surrender their lives once and for all to Jesus Christ, but sadly, verse 20 of this passage explicitly says that the majority of those who survive will still not repent and turn to Christ. There will be a tremendous revival and return to the Lord during this time (Joel 2), but there will also be a great falling away of professing Christians (II Thessalonians 2:3) due to the offense at what God is doing (Matthew 11:6). Just as Christ said, most people will deny the truth and cruise along on the broad road that leads to eternal destruction (Matthew 7:13-14).  Click here to understand the first 5 Trumpets of Revelation.

B- War will continue, but there will be times and areas of peace, and more importantly, Awakening in the Church

Even though there will be a massive war either just before or after the Confirmation of the Covenant, war will not be going on everywhere, and during the first forty-two months there will actually be a brief and deceptive time of apparent peace. Much of the world's population that survives will probably think we are finally moving towards a wonderful time of global prosperity and "peace." However, Daniel 9:26 says, “The war will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.” In I Thessalonians 5:3, Paul tells us when writing of the end times, “While people are saying, "Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.” So, it is clear that many people will be deceived by this time of false peace and security. After the 6th trumpet war, the people of this world will be willing to do anything to selfishly keep themselves in peace and safety on this earth. Do not be deceived. True, everlasting peace is only found in the Prince of peace: Jesus Christ. While the people of this world are walking in more fear than ever, those whose citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20) will be walking in greater faith than ever before with confidence that the culmination of God's redemption is just on the horizon. The Church will be having a great return to the book of Acts all across the globe. The final outpouring of the Holy Spirit that's described as taking place for all of God's people in the last days in Joel 2 will finally come to full fruition. There will be intense natural and spiritual opposition, but no one can stop the working of the Spirit of God Almighty. Paradoxically, when the people of God are persecuted (as will be taking place heavily) they only multiply all the more. The next great wave of revival will sweep well over a billion people into the Kingdom of God; countless stadiums and arenas will all be filled for revivals; evangelists will be stirring cities, suburbs, and rural areas alike. Denominational barriers will be broken down as Jesus' whole body will become one, just as He prayed for (John 17:22-23). True prophets will be drawing the world's attention to Christ and the impending Day of Judgment. National leaders, and even some of the secular news media, will be exhorting people to turn to Jesus. The attendance of church services will skyrocket at a rate beyond what you can imagine. The personal miracles from the book of Acts and the corporate miracles from Exodus will be taking place on a global scale. Children will be used mightily on many levels, especially to work these supernatural signs; young ones will be laying their hands on hospitals with prayers of faith, and entire hospitals full of sick, wounded, and dying people will be instantly healed. In the midst of terrible global famine, food will be multiplied in abundance through prayer, just as was done with the loaves and fish (Matthew 14:13-21). Blind eyes will be opened, the deaf will hear, and the lame will leap. Countless resurrections from the dead will take place. Genuine miracles greater than man has ever seen before will be happening (John 14:12). Some will tell literal mountains to be plucked up and cast into the sea, and this will be done to prove that the Lord’s Word is true (Mark 11:23). Some will walk on water for far greater distances than Peter (Matthew 14:29). Some will be used to unravel a thousand years of the enemy’s strategy and dominance over a nation, which they will do with a single prophetic word, setting nations free in a day (Isaiah 66:8). Translocation by the Spirit and interaction with angels will become normal (Acts 8:26-40). These are just a few examples of what will be taking place; the "greater works" that the Lord prophesied of will probably be far greater than any of us have ever expected. And perhaps most significantly, the true apostolic and prophetic ministries will be restored to the Church so the Bride of Christ can “attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:15). The Lord Jesus will definitely be seeing to it that His Bride, the Church, is in harmony, true unity, pure and single in devotion to Him, ready to meet Him (Revelation 19:7). He will cleanse “her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish” (Ephesians 5:26-27). He will continue to expand what we know as the "prayer and worship movement" to every region of the earth, and God's people will gladly pray and worship day and night until He comes (Luke 18:7-8). This is the restoration of the Tabernacle of David that Amos prophesied would take place in the last days (Amos 9:11-12). The Bride will be crying out with one voice for her Bridegroom God to return (Revelation 22:17). Every great thing in Scripture was just the seed of what we will now see as a harvest. Even the first century church was but a seed of what the Church will become. It will be the most exciting time in history to walk with God. Jesus definitely saved His best wine for last! (John 2:10). But the most evil man to ever live will spring onto the world scene at this time with great deception and beguilement, bringing his own message of “peace, love, and unity,” because that's exactly what the world will want to hear.

C- Rise of the Antichrist and the False Prophet

The Bible tells us in numerous places that the Antichrist will rise up among or over ten leaders, he will be a “master of intrigue,” and by his false “message of peace he shall destroy many” (Daniel 8:25). This sly political leader will probably come out of the European Union (EU) (Click here to understand this). He will begin his rule over ten nations or nation-blocks (Daniel 7:7, 24; Revelation 13:1, 17:12). These ten nations or nation-blocks will probably form a union. After the enormous nuclear war that kills one-third of all people, he will ride this catastrophe to power as the world is devastated and desperate for answers. He will appear as “a man of peace” with widespread power and popularity, and most of the world will think he has the answers that they are looking for. He will be given power over many nations and will, in some way, subdue three nations/national leaders (Daniel 7:8, 24). This conniving man will appear to most of the world as a magnificent leader in a time of terrible distress, but do not give him any reverence whatsoever! He will probably be a very good speaker, sounding very friendly and enticing, not appearing violent whatsoever, and he might even claim to be a Christian. But he will actually make war against true Christians because they will be viewed as a threat to his world system, which he will want to be completely centered around himself. He will make sure that followers of Christ are violently persecuted as "dangerous fanatics" (see section 'K'). However, peace, love, prosperity, and hope will be the essence of his message. Do not be deceived. “There is no [lasting] peace,” says the LORD, "for the wicked” (Isaiah 48:22). Don't fall into the trap of placing your hope in any human being. This man will actually be responsible for two battles that take place during the latter part of the first 42 months: “He will plot the overthrow of fortresses--but only for a time. With a large army he will stir up his strength and courage against the king of the South” (Daniel 11:24-25; the other is described in verses 29-31). This "man of sin" will only use his charisma to bring power, honor, and glory to himself. Who will it be? There are two primary things about him that we can know for sure: he will have some type of political role in Europe (or the new world governmental structure if the ten horns are actually ten nation-blocks that the world will be divided into, rather than just ten European countries) and will also be involved in confirming the Middle East Peace Treaty. As of right now (June, 2008), about four men qualify for this position: Tony Blair, Javier Solana, Gordon Brown, and Nicholas Sarkozy. I am NOT saying one of these men must be the Antichrist. I am simply saying they have the potential because of the positions that they currently hold. In fact, I’d say it would be best not to pinpoint one individual with any kind of certainty until after the Sixth Trumpet War; then, at the Abomination of Desolation we will be able to confirm, without a doubt, the identity of this person. Several young 'political stars' could have the potential to fulfill this role in a few years down the road. There is much speculation right now about presidential candidate Barack Obama being the Antichrist. It seems extremely unlikely, but I suppose it could be possible if he gets elected as President, helps the Mideast Peace process, and after the war that kills one-third of mankind, grabs a leading role in the world governmental structure. Due to the inexplicable rise of Islam during this time and the fact that the this man will have an even stronger desire than Adolf Hitler to exterminate the Jews it is certainly possible that the Antichrist could turn out to be a Muslim or political leader from an Arab nation. Prince Hassan bin Talal seems to fit most of the requirements; he undoubtedly comes off as a "man of peace," is friendly with the Pope, and is a leading voice for 'interfaithism,' which, as you will see in the next section, is simply the uniting of various religions for the purpose of apparent 'peace.' He is definitely one that many people are watching for, but it seems almost impossible for him to fulfill this role because Daniel 11:41 is pretty clear that Jordan itself will not fall under the reign of the Antichrist. We will simply have to wait and see who will actually fulfill this role. As for the False Prophet, this man will be a strong religious leader who has ties with and supports the Antichrist. As Daniel 2 tells us, there will be a sort of revival of the Holy Roman Empire during this time, which has always had two leaders: a political leader and a spiritual leader. The political leader has always been an admired and powerful man, and the religious leader had always been the Pope. It certainly appears that whoever is Pope during this time will fulfill the role of the False Prophet. In fact, Catholics agree that a corrupt Pope is coming soon. The Catholic prophet, St. Malachy, said there would be a total of 112 Popes from his time forward and gave a brief description of each one. He said that number 110 will be a great world traveler-this was John Paul II, who traveled the world more than any other Pope throughout history. He said number 111 would be “the glory of the olive.” When Cardinal Ratzinger was elected, everyone calmed down regarding St. Malachy’s somewhat questionable prophecy. “Ratzinger” has nothing to do with olives. However, the following day, it was announced that he would take the name of Pope Benedict XVI. He chose the name in reference to St. Benedict who started the Benedictine order, and the symbol of the Benedictine order is…yes, it is the olive. St. Malachy describes number 112-the final Pope-as a corrupt, false teacher who will be in some way linked to “Peter the Roman.” The Catholic prophecy still has to be taken with a grain of salt because it's not in the Bible, but the False Prophet will almost certainly be whoever is Pope at this time. Regardless of what people think of the EU now, it will have great power and will continue to have close ties with the Roman Catholic Church during the final seven years. The Lisbon Treaty, which is the EU’s Constitution, has been signed by all twenty-seven countries and is in the process of ratification. If the Lisbon Treaty is ratified, the EU will gain much more power and will even elect its own President. The EU currently consists of twenty-seven countries. It started with fifteen. So, why does their flag have twelve gold stars in a circle? The answer: Rome still has much power. The reason the EU flag consists of twelve gold stars in a circle is because it is the Roman Catholic symbol of the Virgin Mary. Certain documents of the EU are required to be signed in a Roman Catholic Church. On the back of the euro, there is a picture of none other than Charlemagne, the first political leader of the Holy Roman Empire. He was crowned Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in 800 A.D. by Pope Leo III. Why is he on the back of the euro? Rome still has much control in Europe. If a country wants to become a member of the EU, they have to go to a place called "The Charlemagne Building." Even though they are not yet considered an empire, the EU will be dominant after one-third of mankind is wiped off the earth. They will be left with great power for about seven years (click here for more on this). It is very important to know that these two evil men could implement the “Mark of the Beast” during the first 42 months (see section ‘I’), though it seems more probable to happen during the final forty-two months. He could be the first Pope to openly accept, or even endorse, homosexuality; but we don't know that for sure. Something very important that we do know for sure is the fact that the False Prophet will have the ability to perform many miracles on the Antichrist’s behalf. He will even be given power to pull down fire from heaven! Revelation 13:13 says, “And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men.” Many people will see his miracles and be amazed. Can you imagine when the Pope pulls fire down from heaven? It will astonish the world, but do not be amazed at this man. In reality, he will only be pointing people in the direction of Hell and destruction, although appearing in “sheep’s clothing” (Matthew 7:15) with smooth words. Revelation 13:14 says, “Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.” The False Prophet will greatly advocate the world governmental system and the Antichrist. They will lead most people on the earth to eternal destruction without them knowing it until the end.

D- Rise of One-World Government, Economy, and Religion

We have all heard quite a bit about a New World Order over the last few years, but what exactly is it? What does this really mean? To get to the point, the fact of the matter is, New World Order is referring to world government. This is not some recent aspiration that has suddenly been stirred up in the hearts of the men who run the world today. It has been going on longer than most of us can imagine, but only in recent decades has it really begun to take shape. The global elite, at times, attempt to disguise their push for a New World order by describing the world's need for "global governance," a "new international order," or an "international community," as though the public is so intellectually inferior that we are somehow incapable of realizing that those are all essentially synonymous terms that mean New World Order. And in the past twenty years they have, at times, started to actually use the term "New World Order" publicly; yet we know they have been using it for centuries, even long prior to Franklin D. Roosevelt adding the Latin phrase "Novus Ordo Seclorum" to the back of the U.S. one-dollar bill (which means New World Order). By September 11, 1990, U.S. President George H.W. Bush was making startling statements like this: "We have before us the opportunity to forge for ourselves and for future generations a new world order. When we are successful, and we will be, we have a real chance at this new world order, an order in which a credible United Nations can use its peacekeeping role to fulfill the promise and vision of the U.N.'s founders." So, what will this global system look like when it comes to fruition? The final world government, which will probably be under the United Nations, will have its primary power base from ten main nations or nation-blocks. Most likely, there will be ten main politicians involved who are looked to by the world as phenomenal leaders, but as described in section 'C,' one political leader in particular will be central to its governance. It is described this way in Revelation 13:1-2: “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” First, we must note that chapter seventeen tells us specifically what these ten horns represent: “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast” (Revelation 17:12). Daniel 7:24 explicitly communicates the same thing: "The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.” The book of Revelation was written in 96 A.D., approximately 700 years after the book of Daniel. However, this passage in Revelation 13 uses the same exact symbols as the prophecy found in Daniel 7; this chapter describes four beasts, but in Revelation 13 there is only one beast. Clearly, the beasts are all the same ones from Daniel 7 but have amalgamated as one. These beasts symbolize nations, and in this prophecy we see multiple nations joined together into one great power. But who are they? If you’ve ever read a newspaper, you know the bear symbolizes Russia, and the Leopard represents Germany. The lion is the official national symbol of England, and the fact that this government will have the “mouth of a lion” shows us the language for this government will be English. English is, undeniably, the dominant language throughout the world. Most international occupations now require competency in English. In fact, Kofi Annan of the United Nations, has actually already stated, “We have chosen English to be the language of Global Governance.” The only thing missing in Revelation are the eagle’s wings that we see growing out of the lion in Daniel and were plucked off and separated from the lion. What country is symbolized by the eagle that came out of and separated from England? If you’ve ever looked at the back of a U.S. quarter or dollar bill, you know this is the United States. Daniel was seeing America's Declaration of Independence take place 2,300 years before it took place! This shows us that America will probably not be a part, or at least a key player, in this world governmental system, but it could be; a North American Union has been suggested. This means you could see Canada, the United States, and Mexico merged into a union similar to the EU. Revelation 12:3: “Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads.”  The fact that God chose to symbolize the one-world governmental beast as red is very significant (also in Revelation 17:3). Red is used in Scripture several times to describe something we understand well today that many previous generations did not (see also the second seal of Revelation). Red is the international color for Communism. We hear this terminology rather frequently; for example, “Red-Russia, Red-China,” etc. This shows us the world government of the Antichrist will be a socialistic system. A global currency will probably be put into place for a short period of time after they create more and more economic chaos. If you think the economy will be getting better from this point (June, 2008) you're living in a dream world. The global elite want a global meltdown. They want chaos so they can bring "order." A New World Order. We know for certain that they will run the entire economy, because Revelation 13:16-18 says there will soon be a world-wide cashless society in which every person will be required to take some kind of mark (probably RFID chips) in their body, without which you cannot buy or sell, but you must not take this mark when it's implemented (see section 'I'). Clearly, they will control the entire global economy. They might put firm regulations on food and water consumption. They will probably implement a global tax, and it is very likely they will state “Global Warming” or some form of climate change as one of the reasons for why we supposedly need a global tax; what a lie! H.G. Wells wrote in 1939, "Countless people will hate the New World Order and will die protesting against it." This, unfortunately, is very true. The world elite want to control everyone on the planet, and what better way to control the world's population than by reducing it? They do not care about anyone but themselves, and after all, they believe themselves to be superior to the rest of humanity. The FEMA death camps are ready at this very moment, complete with millions of cheap coffins for anyone who opposes the New World Order. To be specific about what it means to "oppose the New World Order," the Department of Homeland Security released documents in which they target anyone who falls into any one of the following categories: those who support national sovereignty, those who have a Christian identity, those who are states rights advocates, anti-immigration, opposed to the Federal Reserve, support Constitutional or Libertarian material, support Ron Paul, or have anti-government bumper stickers; these are the types of people that are known as "terrorists" in countless documents, and you will be considered guilty until proven innocent. Marshall Law will be implemented throughout the world. A global army is one of the goals. They want to get the population as low as possible, whether that be through directly killing the masses in FEMA camps, adding more fluoride to your tap water, chemtrails, food restrictions or by releasing plagues that you thought went away. Jesus told us there would be famines and pestilence in various places (Luke 21:11). Do not be surprised if the Avian influenza (bird flu) and other horrible plagues return to the world and ruthlessly wipe out millions of people. Since its formation in 1945, the United Nations (UN) has exercised increasing control over world politics. It has repeatedly made decisions favoring the Communist world, and has voted and spoken regularly against capitalism and democracy. The United Nations has been instrumental in establishing and increasing the powers of the World Court. Furthermore, the Commission on Global Governance has called for a global tax as well as a standing UN army. There will definitely be great power given to the European Union or revived “Holy Roman Empire” during this time. That’s exactly what the EU will be as prophesied in Daniel 2, and the Catholic Church will be right there with them leading people on the road to eternal destruction. The Catholic Church will try to bring unity by basically telling people of many different religions that they are all right, rather than telling those who are lost the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Catholic "Church" has been very much involved in the International Interfaith Foundation since its formation in 1983. Pope John Paul II was one of the biggest advocates ever for uniting religions without evangelizing. Tony Blair, who is running for EU presidency, recently converted to Roman Catholicism and has launched The Tony Blair Faith Foundation. This foundation is all about uniting people of different faiths for the purpose of globalization. They want to unite all people everywhere into a one-world system so they can run it. Inter-faithism, which is the uniting of current religions, is already happening, and will be at the heart of this one-world religion along with the Roman Catholic Church. It will not be the conforming of all the world religions into one combined set of doctrines. It will be immense integration of various religions with the strong support of the Vatican-(click here to understand how we know this).  Dozens of so-called "peace programs" are linked to the U.N. and strongly encourage uniting all the world's governments, economies, and religious beliefs under one central umbrella. During the first 3½ years of the final seven-year period, it is unclear how strong this world system will be. However, even if it does not become extremely dominant during this time, it will dominate throughout the Great Tribulation, the final 3½ years. World government is coming inevitably, and the wicked world elite will strive to control everything, including you. David Rockefeller said grinning, "The nations will gladly accept the New World Order. All we need is the right global crisis." And I'm quite sure a world war that wipes out a third of the human population in a single day would qualify as the quintessential global crisis for the ultimate fulfillment of this audacious, long-awaited dream of the corrupt global elite.

E- Rebuilding of the Jewish Temple

The Jews will build their third Temple in Jerusalem within 3½ years after the Confirmation of the Covenant. Despite the religious tensions that have carried on for decades over the highly disputed Temple Mount, there will be a Jewish Temple standing on the Temple Mount by the midpoint of the final seven years. The Muslim’s third most holy site in the world, The Dome of the Rock, sits there now. So, how will this ever happen? The Jews and Muslims will actually share the Temple Mount, probably with a NATO or UN Peacekeeping force present. In Revelation 11:1-2, God says, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there. But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.” The outer court is where the Dome of the Rock is located, and the Palestinians, of course, are the Gentiles. So, despite the years of animosity and quarrels over the Temple Mount, there will be a Jewish Temple standing on it next to the Dome of the Rock. You can count on it.

F- Animal Sacrifices will be resumed

After the Temple is rebuilt on the Temple Mount, the daily rituals will be resumed for the first time in about 2,000 years. The Jewish Sanhedrin, which was reborn in 2004, will purchase bulls or herds of sheep or goats even though many people say they will never be able to recommence the daily sacrifice. They will resume this old ritual regardless of the controversy that it will stir up.

G- Animal Sacrifices will be stopped by the Antichrist

Daniel 9:27: “He will confirm the covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to the sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation.” Daniel 11:28-31: “The king of the North (the Antichrist) will return to his own country with great wealth, but his heart will be set against the holy covenant (the Jew’s right to Israel). He will take action against it and then return to his own country. At the appointed time he will invade the South again, but this time the outcome will be different from what it was before. Ships of the western coastlands will oppose him, and he will lose heart. Then he will turn back and vent his fury against the holy covenant. He will return and show favor to those who forsake the holy covenant. His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation.” Both of these Scriptures tell us the sacrifices will be stopped right before the Abomination of Desolation. When the Jews start slaughtering animals in the rebuilt Jewish Temple, the animal-rights activists everywhere are going to go nuts. I can just see the animal-rights activists marching around with their picket signs. There will certainly be much controversy over the sacrificing of live animals in the twenty-first century. So the Antichrist will put an end to the animal sacrifices and, soon after, follow up with an astonishing explanation as to why he claims to have the authority to do so...

Abomination of Desolation (Start of the Great Tribulation)

The Abomination of Desolation will simply be the most horrid abomination against God in human history. Forty-two months after the Confirmation of the Covenant, the Antichrist will declare from the Temple in Jerusalem to the whole world in some way “that he is God.” In II Thessalonians 2:4, the apostle Paul tells us, “He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.” Daniel 9:25 says, “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times and half a time,” which is 3½ years. This is confirmed in Revelation 13:5: “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty-two months.” Daniel 8:25 says,“in his own mind he shall become great...And he shall even rise up against the Prince of princes,” which is, of course the real Christ. But when the Antichrist makes this declaration, he might not specifically use the words “Christ” or “God.” He might say that he is the Messiah, or that he’s all-powerful, or the sovereign one, but any way he says or does it, this event will be a total abomination to the One True God, and many people will be deceived. He might consider himself to be the fifth Buddha to Buddhists, the twelfth Imam to Muslims, the Messiah to the Jews, and so on. He may simply say that he is the ultimate authority of the Temple Mount, which is the very place that Almighty God has specifically said His name belongs over thirty-five times. Some say this event will be the Antichrist setting up an image of himself or a statue, symbol, or flag of the world governmental system in the Temple. Revelation 13:14 does tell us the False Prophet will set up, at some point, an image in honor of the world government or the Antichrist that all people will be forced to honor. Turning the Temple of the Living God into a place of worship for himself or his world governmental system would be about as much of an abomination in God’s eyes as there could possibly be. We do know the Temple will be greatly defiled during this time (Daniel 11:31, Ezekiel 9:7), so this is another possibility to look out for, not to mention the fact this image in honor of the beast will even be demonically empowered to speak in some way (Revelation 13:15). How long after the animal sacrifices are stopped will this take place? It could be anywhere from a few minutes to a few weeks; some believe the 30-day gap described in Daniel 12:11 is the gap between the altar being shut down and the abomination of desolation being set up, which could be possible, but I think both will happen on the same day; I think the 30-day gap could be Jesus' royal procession with His people from Edom to Jerusalem (Isaiah 63) after He comes. Those who are alive and remain during this time should be watchful and recognize this crucial event. The keys to recognizing it will be the absolute facts that it will take place on the Temple Mount, and it will take place 3½ years after the Confirmation of the Covenant, shortly after the animal sacrifices are brought to an abrupt halt in the Jewish Temple. This will mark the beginning of the worst time period man will ever see, but take heart in knowing the return of the Lord is imminent. It will trigger the final 42 months known as the Great Tribulation. This period, which is described in depth, will be the worst the universe has ever known or ever will know. Christians will be terribly persecuted all over the world as "religious extremists." The vast majority of Israeli Jews will be slain. The Muslims will be killing insanely large groups of people; Jerusalem will be surrounded, violently attacked, and trodden down by the Arabs for the final 42 months (Rev.11:2, Luke 21:20-24). It is remarkable that Jesus told us 2,000 years ago much of the trouble will begin in Judea; this is the region we know as the West Bank. And this is where there is a stunning amount of violence and controversy right now. Several recent articles have reported that a plan already exists for the Palestinians to overrun the Judean settlements when the time is right! Jesus told us that right after the Abomination of Desolation, the Great Tribulation will begin, and those who are in Judea will basically have to run for their lives. He said in Matthew 24:15-21, “So when you see standing in the Holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel–let the reader understand– then let those who are in Judea (the West Bank)  flee to the mountains. Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now–and never to be equaled again.”

             Judea is the West Bank, the region with the greatest amount of controversy already:

H- Reign of the Antichrist and False Prophet in a One-World system

Revelation 13:4-8: “And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshiped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?’ And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty-two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” As the Antichrist reigns, he will try to force all to worship him and his world governmental system in some way. This could mean people will simply give their full allegiance to him rather than God. Most people who are not born again will follow him, for their names have not been written in the “book of [eternal] life.” Even though the Antichrist will be ruling most of the earth and will be greatly admired by most people, it is clear that he will still face opposition. We know this because he will be fighting at least two wars during the Great Tribulation (Daniel 11:39-45) and will eventually invade Israel at Armageddon. Obviously, Israel will give the Antichrist opposition, hopefully with the help of their American ally. One common misconception is that nobody will oppose this man whatsoever. This is certainly not true. The country of Jordan will actually never fall under the reign of the Antichrist (Daniel 11:41), which may be where many of the Jews will flee to when Jerusalem is attacked, because it is not far south from the Holy City and could be the reference of safety for the Israeli remnant in Micha 2:12-13. However, Egypt will not escape his reign: “He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape. He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Nubians in submission. But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many” (Daniel 11:42-44). Even though he will be involved in confirming the Covenant (Israel’s right to exist for the Jews), he will later go against the Covenant and honor and corrupt those who do the same: Daniel 11:32 says, “With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.” Daniel 11:24: “He will distribute plunder, loot and wealth among his followers.” Daniel 11:36-39: “The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place. He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers or for the one desired by women (to have children), nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all. Instead of them, he will honor a god of fortresses; a god unknown to his fathers he will honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts. He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price.” The Antichrist will certainly try to bring world unity, and ultimately, glory to himself through a one-world system that is led by him and the False Prophet. It is clear that he will greatly honor those who have put their trust in him, he will have power to appoint high positions of authority to others and “distribute the land at a price.” While the Antichrist reigns and continues to cause problems, the False Prophet will continue to perform miracles on his behalf. We do not know how many of these false miracles will be seen publicly, but they will definitely be seen by the world leaders and influence them greatly. Revelation 16:13-14: “Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.” Do not be deceived by signs and wonders. Faith in miracles cannot save anyone--only faith in Jesus Christ. He said Himself in Matthew 16:4, “A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign.” These men will perform signs and wonders that carnal people would love to see and be entertained by. Second Thessalonians 2:9-10 says, “The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.” The only way to be saved is to love the truth. And Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). Surrendering now to the complete Lordship of the one true Jesus is the only means to eternal salvation. When He returns, it will be too late (see parable of the ten virgins: Matthew 25:1-13). The wicked, corrupt leaders of the New World Order will do everything they possibly can to make you think that they are wonderful--that they can be your savior. They will lie to you time and time again. They may even make public announcements of 'UFO's' and 'aliens' on earth in order to instill so much fear throughout the world that people will beg for global unification of the human race and give total allegiance to the New World Order. Even if they seem to give compelling evidence about extraterrestrials on earth, don't be deceived. These beings are easily explained by Revelation 12:7-9, which talks about the demons being hurled down to the earth, perhaps visibly, during the Great Tribulation. Do not be led astray by any of their cunning schemes. They may not only use the fear tactic. Perhaps they'll pretend to be friendly and seek to provide us with free energy and various resources or technologies or knowledge. But if these beings do appear, please know that they are strictly evil and have no good in them at all. Their horrific interaction with humans in Genesis 6 is one of the main reasons God sent the global flood of judgment; and Jesus said that the days of His coming would have similarities to the days of Noah (Matthew 24:37). It is therefore possible that many demons, masquerading as friends from other galaxies or dimensions, could appear during this time. And what we do know, positively, is that there will be much deception! Jesus said, "For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand” (Matthew 24:24-25).  In the book of Daniel, when the prophet had received several images from God regarding kingdoms that would rise to power in the latter days, he became frustrated and asked God what all of this meant, and God gave him an explanation regarding the final one: Daniel 7:23-25: “He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time” (3½ years).

I- The Mark of the Beast

Revelation 13:16-18: “He (the False Prophet) also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.” The Antichrist and the False Prophet will create a system in which they will mark and be able to track everyone in the world. You must not receive this mark regardless of the multitudes that will take it and the strong endorsement it will receive from the Pope. Those who do not take the mark will no longer be able to buy or sell for the final forty-two months, but those who do take it will be destined for eternal damnation. What will happen to those who take the mark? Revelation 14:9-11 tells us, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God's wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.” Do not take the mark!  So, what is it exactly? Let’s examine modern technology a little bit. Before now, it has been physically and scientifically impossible to track every human being on earth, but it is possible today. Technology has taken off in the last century unlike any other time in history. Daniel 12:4 actually says that in the last days humans will be all about gaining knowledge. A cashless society in which everyone will be numbered or microchipped does not seem unthinkable. This prophecy is vital because it will affect the entire world. Economic control will be used to force political and religious conformity. Globablists believe there are three root causes for war: political conflicts, economic conflicts, and religious conflicts. They theorize that if we could have a one-world political system, a one-world economy, and a one-world religion, we would have removed the root causes for conflict among mankind. They say this could help us enter into a new age of peace and security. This ideology is far from the truth, but it is what dominates the policies of the United Nations. Currently, 186 of the world’s 192 countries are planning to implement a National ID system by 2010. This is to comply with the UN. They want to track every individual on the planet. But how will they do this? What will the Mark of the Beast be? We do not know specifically what the mark will be, but Scripture does say that it will be received by people either on their “right hand or forehead.” In 2007, one of the leading technologies to take off was biometric identification through the use of a fingerprint or eye retinal scan-that is way too close for comfort. It is not certain the number “666” will be put on people’s bodies even though Revelation 13:18 says, “for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.” It is unlikely the mark itself will literally say “666,” but it could in some way. Some former Muslims say that the way this verse states these three digits through various words actually means, "In the name of Allah," in Arabic. Perhaps the Islamic world will have more control than we can presently imagine. It seems most likely however to be a microchip implant because they are already discussed by the world elite as a wonderful way to track the world and gain total economic control. But we don’t know for sure. We simply have to be careful about anything we do to our bodies during this time. It is your responsibility to NOT take the mark under any circumstance and to trust the sovereign Lord of the universe who was willing to die for you. He'd rather die for you than be without you, and He wants you to spend eternity in His love. And love is something that this end-time government will certainly be far from having, despite the fact that they'll seem so concerned for you. They will put on a smile and tell you this little chip (or whatever they end up using) is for your greatest good; they'll tell you it's for you and your family's safety; they might even come up with lies about how the technology is so advanced that it can radically alter your body's health or DNA and greatly extend your life. Don't buy it. It may seem difficult to resist, especially due to the fact that there will be famines, water shortages, and pestilence in various places (Luke 21:11; Mark 13:8). But please do not allow yourself to feel the need to receive something so you can continue to buy or sell goods for your family during this time. We happen to serve a God who fed two million people in the wilderness for forty years without a nearby Wawa or supermarket. We may start rediscovering what it means to have faith in God. J- Two Witnesses of God begin their Ministry

Revelation 11:3-4: “And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.” There will be two men of God that prophesy throughout the entire Great Tribulation and will end their ministry in Jerusalem. They will spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and will be hated by the Antichrist and his multitude of followers. Just as Satan will have his two main representatives, God will have His two main representatives testifying and teaching, but God’s witnesses will teach the TRUTH. So, who will these two prophets be? They will certainly be two individuals with great favor in the eyes of the Lord, but we cannot know for sure who they will be. The most common and supported prediction is that it will be Moses and Elijah, or perhaps two men filled with their spirits and power. Some people have argued very strongly that one of them must be Elijah. In Malachi 4:5, we have this prophecy: “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.” The Jews have been looking for Elijah ever since that prophecy was first told. During the sixteenth century, the Jews (who had apparently not been studying their Bibles very well) told their Turkish occupiers that Elijah was coming through the Eastern Gate. The Ottoman Empire ordered the Eastern Gate to be sealed. It is still sealed today. They actually fulfilled the prophecy of Ezekiel 44:1-2 that says, “Then the man brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary, the one facing east, and it was shut. The LORD said to me, “This gate is to remain shut. It must not be opened; no one may enter through it. It is to remain shut because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered through it.” And it will remain shut until the Jesus Himself enters through it when He returns! In fact, verse 3 says, “The prince himself is the only one who may sit inside the gateway to eat in the presence of the LORD. He is to enter by way of the portico of the gateway and go out the same way.” So Elijah will not come the way that some expect. I say this because some Christians caught on to believe Elijah would literally return through the Eastern gate at the start of the Great Tribulation; however, this is not true. It seems much more likely that God will empower someone to come in the spirit of Elijah; this is exactly what happened with John the Baptist before Jesus came the first time (see Luke 1:17). So Elijah is a definite possibility, but not necessarily as great of a certainty as some may think. Matthew 17:1-3, gives some further credibility that it could be Moses and Elijah: “After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.” Here, these two prophets appear with Jesus. In Revelation, the two witnesses are described as two “olive trees, two anointed ones,” and “two candle sticks.” It is possible that these could be references Moses and Elijah. Another passage that adds credence to this possibility is found in Revelation 11:5-6, which tells of the two witnesses performing the same miracles that Moses and Elijah were noted for: “If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.” It was Elijah who pulled down fire from heaven that devoured his enemies and caused the rain to stop. Moses turned the water into blood and wrought the plagues against Egypt. The miracles that these end time prophets will perform are very similar to the outstanding miracles of Moses and Elijah. As previously stated, the most likely possibility is that two men will be given the power and spirits of Moses and Elijah. They are probably alive in Israel at this present time and have come to faith in Jesus Christ. I am not saying God will not bring back to earth two prophets of old. God is absolutely capable of doing that, but it appears that He is preparing two men that are alive on the earth right now to become these prophets. They will preach absolute truth for 1,260 days (42 months).

K- Major Persecution of Christians and Jews

Revelation 12:17: “Then the dragon became furious with the woman (Israel) and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.” Revelation 13:15: “And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain.” Daniel 8:24: “His power shall be great—but not by his own power; and he shall cause fearful destruction and shall succeed in what he does, and destroy mighty men and the people who are the saints.” Daniel 7:21, 25: “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them until the Ancient of days came.” “He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.” Although Christians will be strongly opposed during the first forty-two months and have been persecuted throughout history, the Great Tribulation will be the worst time ever for those who are called, chosen, and faithful to Jesus Christ. It will be a hard time to be a Christian, but the reward for the faithful will be extraordinary in the end. Many who claim to be followers of Jesus will be tested and fail during this time, but those who truly know God will stand firm to the end. “Indeed, a time is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God” (John 16:2). Those who are in Christ should really have nothing to fear. Jesus tells us very clearly that we should only fear God: “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him” (Luke 12:4-5). And Revelation 12:11 tells us the true body of Christ will love Him more than their own lives: “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Jesus told us not to worry even about what we are to say if we are brought before kings, rulers, and councils. He told us that “they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name’s sake. This will be your opportunity to bear witness. Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict. You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death. You will be hated by all for my name’s sake” (Luke 21:12-18). Christ has commanded us to not even be worried about what we are going to say, let alone how we can extend our lives here on earth. Fear is in direct opposition to faith. We must continue to preach the gospel with clarity and boldness regardless of temporary consequences. “We must obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29). Daniel 11:32-33 says, in reference to the Antichrist, “With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him. Those who are wise will instruct many, though for a time they will fall by the sword or be burned or captured or plundered.” Notice:“Those who are wise will instruct many.” I pray we would all be wise and pass the truth of the Bible on to other people. Do not let fear win. Yes, some will be tortured. Some may be crucified. Revelation 20:4 tells us that many will be beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus during this perilous time; but this verse also tells us that truth will prevail, as these same people who are martyred for Christ’s name will be reigning with Him when He returns to earth! There is an eternal hope in Christ! And as difficult as it will be for Christians, things will probably be worse for the Jews. In Revelation 12, the entire chapter is primarily focused on the enemy becoming increasingly more frustrated with Israel. Throughout the final seven years, Israel will be, undoubtedly, the center of events and persecution. Israel “will seek peace in vain” (Ezekiel 7:24). The Antichrist “will vent his fury against the holy covenant” (Daniel 11:30). It will be an extremely terrible time for those who still reside in the Holy Land. The media will, in many aspects, portray Israel as the enemy. Do not let yourself think such a thing for one second! God's promise regarding his chosen nation still stands firm: "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse" (Genesis 12:3). We must stand by Israel during this time in which the Bible calls "the time of Jacob's trouble" (Jeremiah 30:7). This does not mean that we have to support and agree with any and every political or spiritual decision they make. It means we must stand firm on God's covenant to His people (Genesis 15:18) and stand firm that Israel and the Jewish people do in fact belong to the Lord without wavering. The Jewish persecution will be colossal. FEMA is constructing POW camps at this very moment across America that will really be more like concentration camps during this time (click here for more on this). And similar organizations are doing the same exact thing all throughout the world; countless Jews and Christians will be placed in these death camps during this time. Zechariah 14:2 says that half of Jerusalem will be taken into captivity near the end. Many will be killed in Israel, and most that survive will flee to other nations. Ezekiel 6:6-8: “Your altars will be laid waste and devastated, your idols smashed and ruined, your incense altars broken down, and what you have made wiped out. Your people will fall slain among you, and you will know that I am the LORD.  But I will spare some, for some of you will escape the sword when you are scattered among the lands and nations.” Jewish people of all ages will be slaughtered, even directly in front of their own Temple (Ezekiel 9:6-10). Luke 21:20-24 describes the start of the Great Tribulation, the time of the Abomination of Desolation: "When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” It is so sad how largely secular Israel has become. It has been estimated that sixty percent of the people that live in Israel today do not believe in God. It is a very divided nation. There are some strict, very conservative and devout people called the Hasidim. However, the vast majority of them reject Jesus as their Messiah. Most of Israel is very rebellious and godless today, and their punishment is definitely coming. What Jesus said in Luke 21:24 is stunningly similar to Ezekiel 11:9-10: “I will drive you out of the city and hand you over to foreigners and inflict punishment on you. You will fall by the sword, and I will execute judgment on you at the borders of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.” By the time Jesus returns, two-thirds of the Jews-either those on earth or those who live in Israel-will be slain! Zechariah 13:8-9: “In the whole land,” declares the Lord, "two-thirds will be struck down and perish; yet one-third will be left in it. This third I will bring through the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, 'They are my people,’ and they will say, 'The Lord is our God.'”

L- 144,000 Jews will be Sealed

Many Christian novels and theologians depict the Church of the end time as a weak, quiet group of people who go into hiding while the Antichrist reigns. However, Daniel 11:32 speaks directly in an antithetical manner: “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” The people that know God will certainly not be weak, withdrawn, or quiet during this time. They “shall be strong and do exploits.” There will be great revivals in many places back to true, Biblical Christianity (See section 'B' for more on this). Isaiah 60 clearly describes this time. It clearly states that although this will be a time in which darkness increases, so will the light! It will be the Church's greatest hour: “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you,and his glory will be seen upon you. And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.  Lift up your eyes all around, and see; they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried on the hip. Then you shall see and be radiant; your heart shall thrill and exult, because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you" (Isaiah 60:1-5). People will be evangelizing and sharing the truth of the gospel like never before. Many churches will be packed, yet sadly enough, most people will never fall to their knees and ever fully surrender their lives to Christ. But despite the fact most Jews of Israel will face great persecution during this time, there will be 144,000 Jews that surrender to the Messiah and will receive great blessing. They will probably not be harmed (Ezekiel 9:6), and most importantly, they will have eternal life through Jesus Christ. Revelation 7:4: “Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.” This chapter tells us these individuals must be Jews because they will be sealed out of the twelve tribes of Israel which are listed very specifically in Revelation 7:5-8. Revelation 14 makes it clear that these will be faithful, religious Jewish people. What many people do not know is that another account of the sealing of the 144,000 exists in Ezekiel 9:4: “And the LORD said unto him, ‘Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done in the midst thereof.’” Now, this is an interesting passage because it describes more fully who will be sealed. God said to seal those who sigh and cry over the abominations being done in the Holy Land. Since 1993, as a result of the Oslo Peace Accord, the rulers of Israel have engaged in “trading land for peace.” This is a total abomination to any Bible-believing Jew. God commanded that Israel must not give up the land to the heathen once He brought them back to the land that was promised to their father, Abraham. The borders were well described from the Mediterranean Sea down to the river of Egypt in the south, up to the Euphrates in the north, and over to the other side of the Jordan. It is ironic that the first city captured by the children of Israel as Joshua led them into the Promised Land was Jericho because it was also the first city given back under the leadership of Yitzhak Rabin. Since then, they have given back Gaza, the major cities of Israel, including Bethlehem, and more recently Hebron, one of their six cities of refuge. As religious Jews in Israel watched these progression of events, they were so grieved that one faction rented a room across the hall from Yitzhak Rabin’s office. They devoted that room as a place for Jews to come together and fast, lament, and mourn for what was being done to their nation and God. “...the men that sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done in the midst thereof.” Those Jews are fulfilling this prophecy. When the Jewish agreement on Hebron was finally culminated, the religious Jews gathered there and rent their clothes. They took knives and cut the collars off of their garments. They were sighing and crying for the abominations that had been done there in Israel. It is very likely that the 144,000 prophesied in Revelation and Ezekiel are in Israel at this moment. They are mourning now, but by the time of the Great Tribulation, they will have come to saving faith in Jesus Christ and will proclaim the good news.

M- Natural Disasters

Luke 21:25: “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.” There are not a ton of details regarding the natural calamities that will ineluctably come to earth during this time, but it is clear that much of the earth will suffer from severe natural disasters throughout the final 7 years, and then during the Great Tribulation like never before. I believe we should all be praying that these are kept to a minimum. Jesus said in Matthew 24:7, "there will be famines and earthquakes in various places." Then He gets specific: "these are but the beginning of the birth pains," meaning that they will start happening with greater and greater frequency as His return draws near. It is absolutely stunning to see the increase in earthquakes over the past few centuries, and over the past few decades the increase in frequency and magnitude of natural disasters is absolutely unprecedented in all of human history! They will only continue to increase until the final Day. There will be some of the most horrific earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, floods, etc. throughout the final 7 years, and especially during the Great Tribulation.

N- Tensions and Wars will lead up to the Battle of Armageddon

As explained in several other sections, Israel will be greatly persecuted, as most of the enemy's anger will be focused against her during this time (Revelation 12). Although many nations hate Israel now, much of the world will grow in their great hatred of this chosen nation throughout the final seven years, especially during the Great Tribulation. Daniel 11:39-45 describes two battles that the Antichrist will fight against other countries during this time as he will work his way towards an all-out attack on Israel. Verse 40 says, “The king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood.” Despite the opposition, he will gather a multitude of nations to fight one last battle against God's chosen country. Maybe he will persuade the nations by saying Israel needs to give up her nuclear weapons for the sake of a safer and better world, but we do not know for sure. They could make any excuse for the invasion. Psalm 83 gives a very good description of the hatred many nations have for Israel. It prophesies an ongoing conflict between the Israelis and the Gentiles. In fact, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has fulfilled Psalm 83:4 several times already. The verse says, “Come,” they say, “let us wipe them out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more.” Recently, every time Ahmadinejad has gotten within five feet of a microphone, the only thing he wants to talk about is “wiping Israel off of the map.” If you read Psalm 83 and Daniel 11, you’ll see they definitely give good descriptions of the tensions and wars leading up to the most cataclysmic and important battle of human history.

O- Death of the Two Witnesses (End of the Great Tribulation)

The two witnesses of God will prophesy for 1,260 days (42 Months) and will then be killed by the Antichrist or his army. Revelation 11:7-8: “Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.” God views Jerusalem as Sodom and Egypt today. It is stunning that the city which is supposed to be the holiest place on earth is filled with unbelief, sorcery, and ungodliness. People will be delighted and even exchange gifts over these two men of God being murdered. Revelation 11:10: “The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.” When these two men of God are killed, this will mark the end of the period known as the Great Tribulation, but it will not be the end of hardship just yet for those who are still alive…

What will happen after the Seven Years??

The bodies of God’s two witnesses will be allowed to lie in the street for 3½ days. Revelation 11:9: “For three and a half days men from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial.” It is interesting to note that people from everywhere around the world will see the dead bodies of these two men in a very short period of time. This perplexed Bible scholars for centuries, but we now know with international television anything that happens on the face of the earth can be seen within hours from any country. As soon as CNN gets there, we will see them. It is almost certain the media will be there in Jerusalem to cover the story and show what happens to those who oppose the New World Order. Imagine as a television camera zooms in for a close up of their bloated faces, and all of a sudden, their eyes start blinking. Their heads will rise up from the pavement, the prophets will sit up, and then they will stand to their feet. Revelation 11:10-11 describes it this way: “The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth. But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them.” We will come back to the two witnesses later because what happens to them next is very important, but first, we must look at the coming Battle of Armageddon and the wrath of God Almighty. While nearly all the nations of the UN are plotting against Israel, Revelation 16:12 tells us the Euphrates River will be dried up to “prepare the way for the Kings of the East.” This seemed impossible for nearly 2,000 years. If you think about it, the Euphrates River is to the Middle East what the Mississippi River is to America. However, in 1990 a dam called the Ataturk Dam, which is located in Southern Turkey, was completed. It ensures total control of the water resources of most of the Middle East by having the ability to cut off the flow of the Euphrates completely! This will be a help to invading armies because of Israel’s superior Air Force. Building bridges across the Euphrates would be difficult. However, if the river is dried up, anything can be moved across it. Zechariah 14:2: “For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.” Revelation 16:16: “Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.” The word Armageddon represents the Hebrew words ‘Har Megido’ meaning “Hill” or “Land” of Megiddo. The Plain of Megiddo is in northern Israel, in a valley seven miles wide and fifteen miles long. Most of the famous battles of Israel have occurred in this area. This piece of land, which is near the Syrian border, is also known as the Valley of Jezreel. It is a natural pass near Haifa, located on an inlet of the Mediterranean Sea, and is a major port and industrial center. An enemy could land ships, invade from that direction, and simultaneously come down from Syria. The Ataturk Dam is about forty miles above the Syrian border. Russia, who we are about to see will lead the invasion, will probably come between the two seas: the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, about thirty or forty miles below the Ataturk Dam. That would make the cutting off of the Euphrates River much more effective by facilitating the Russian invasion. So, who are the main countries that will invade Israel? Ezekiel 38:1-6 gives us the answer: “And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.” Let’s analyze those named here that will come down against Israel at the battle of Armageddon. Beginning with Meshech, “Meshech” is actually the root word for Moscow. Also, Meshech was the name of a Russian city in which the name was recently changed to Meshchovsk. But it says Gog is the ruler of “Meshech and Tubal.” The Tubal River lies east of the Aural Mountains in Russia. Tubalsk is a Russian city of 47,000 located on the Tubal River. These are all areas referring to Russia, which tells us this is Magog, and the ruler of Russia (probably Putin) is Gog. Furthermore, Ezekiel 38:14-15 and 39:1-2 tell us even more information regarding Magog’s geographical location: "Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army.” “And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say, Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. And I will turn you about and drive you forward, and bring you from the uttermost parts of the north, and lead you against the mountains of Israel.” Clearly, this is Russia. As for Gomer, this is the nation now known as Poland. Persia, we know is Iran, which changed its name about seventy years ago. This is absolutely remarkable considering that Iran/Persia and Russia have never had an alliance before in all of history, but today it is well-known that they have close ties, and the main purpose of the alliance is their shared hatred for Israel. Ethiopia and Libya are known by these same names today, and are clearly enemies of Israel. And Togarmah is the country now known as Turkey. Let's face it: Vladamir Putin has already formed alliances with all of these countries! In verse six it also says, “and many people with thee,” and we know from Zechariah 14:2 that virtually all nations will fight against Israel on that terrible day. These verses show us the force that will come against Israel at Armageddon will include many or most of the world’s countries. So, it is almost certain a United Nations force led by Russia will come down against Israel; maybe because they will refuse to give up their nuclear weapons, but we will have to wait and see on that. The situation will look bleak for Israel. Ezekiel 38:16: “You will come up against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the land. In the latter days I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me, when through you, O Gog, I vindicate my holiness before their eyes.” Israel will look like they’re going down, but the Lord will not let His chosen nation lose the battle. The prophecy in Ezekiel 38 culminates with the outpouring of the vials/bowls (their name only depends only on the translation-the vials and bowls are the same thing). They are found in Revelation 16, but many of them are also described in Ezekiel 38:18-22: “But on that day, the day that Gog shall come against the land of Israel, declares the Lord God, my wrath will be roused in my anger. For in my jealousy and in my blazing wrath I declare, On that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all the people who are on the face of the earth, shall quake at my presence. And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground. I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Lord God. Every man's sword will be against his brother. With pestilence and bloodshed I will enter into judgment with him, and I will rain upon him and his hordes and the many peoples who are with him torrential rains and hailstones, fire and sulfur.” The vials are almost exact duplicates of the plagues that God used against Egypt to deliver the children from Israel. He is getting ready to deliver them again. Some people have the misconception that these plagues will be worldwide. However, Ezekiel tells us the pestilence, blood, and great hailstones will come against those who invade Israel. Most of them will be the tools God uses against the invading armies of the United Nations. In Zechariah 12:9, God says, “On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.” The final outpouring of God’s wrath is described many times throughout the Scriptures. If you read Matthew 24:29-31, Revelation 6:12-17 (the 6th seal), Revelation 11:15-19 (the 7th trumpet), Revelation 16:16-21 (the 7th vial), Ezekiel 38, Zephaniah 1, and Joel 2 & 3, you will see that all give accounts of the same exact event. Jesus Himself told us in Matthew 24:29, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” This is just one brief depiction of what that day will be like. We can see from these Scriptures that there will be a great earthquake that kills 7,000 people just in the small city of Jerusalem as it shakes mountains, moves islands out of their places, as well as great lightning, thunders, the sun being darkened, stars falling from the sky, and the moon turning blood-red will be taking place. Ezekiel 39:1-2 says, “Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.” This tells us when God is finished, five-sixths of Russia will be destroyed. This may refer to the entire nation of Russia or to its armies. The verse is not clear on that point. However, it is not impossible for most of Russia to be obliterated. Israel has several nuclear weapons and we know from Zechariah 14:12 that they will be used during the Battle of Armageddon: “This is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.” According to all accounts of what happened to people at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, this is exactly what occurred: flesh fell from people’s bodies, their eyes literally rotted and dropped from their sockets, and their tongues rotted in their mouths. The Battle of Armageddon will obviously be a terrible time, but it will end with the most exciting event in the history of the universe. Matthew 24:29-31: “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” The Lord Jesus will return to earth and will gather His elect! It will be the most glorious sight to ever hit physical eyes. I Thessalonians 4:16-17: “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” Revelation 1:7: “Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him.” Revelation 19:14: “The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.” When the Lord Jesus returns, it will not be a secret event. Every eye in the world will see Him as He returns to earth riding on the clouds of heaven! Those who are alive and have been born again will be caught up to meet Him in the air. I Corinthians 15:51-52: “Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed–in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet (the 7th trumpet). For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.” Matthew 24:40-41: “Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.” I pray you are not one who is left behind. For those of us who will be caught up or “raptured” unto Him, our bodies will instantly be changed, we will be given our eternal bodies, and we shall forever be with the Lord! It is unknown just how much time there will be between the end of the Great Tribulation and the coming of the Lord-some say weeks, some say days, and some say months. We do know Jesus said it will be “Immediately after the tribulation,” but we cannot know for sure how long because the number of days are not exactly specified; yet, some say they are because of this verse from Daniel 12:11-12: "From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.” Although there is not much information about what these numbers of days exactly mean, it is a definite possibility that Christ could return 1,335 days after the Abomination of Desolation. This would leave us with 75 days after the Great Tribulation is over, which is a very short period of time to God, so this is a definite possibility. The gap could refer to a time of a royal procession where King Jesus will lead His army from Edom (Jordan) to Israel (Isaiah 63:1-6) as the greater Moses, releasing the bowl judgments on the Antichrist, who will be a type of end-time Pharaoh. Another interesting theory brings us back to the two witnesses. Most people believe the ascension of Jesus, as recorded in Acts 1, is the model for how the Church will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “Why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” After God’s two witnesses are brought back to life and stand to their feet, they also will ascend in a cloud. Revelation 11:12: “Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.” The theory that this could be the rapture of the Church gains more credibility as you read verses 13-15: “At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe has passed; the third woe is coming soon. The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.” So we know that the last trumpet will sound, which is when we’ll be changed in the twinkling of an eye and the kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdom of the Lord, very shortly after the two witnesses ascend. It is definitely possible that this could be when Christ returns, and all believers may go up with the two witnesses as well. What happens next is also very exciting. God will gather the Jews back to Israel for a very a good reason. Ezekiel 39:23-29: “And the nations will know that the people of Israel went into exile for their sin, because they were unfaithful to me. So I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies, and they all fell by the sword. I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their offenses, and I hid my face from them.’ Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: ‘I will now bring Jacob back from captivity and will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name. They will forget their shame and all the unfaithfulness they showed toward me when they lived in safety in their land with no one to make them afraid. When I have brought them back from the nations and have gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will show myself holy through them in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD their God, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind. I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD.” Israel will be fighting hard, yet losing the battle terribly in the Middle East. Israel will look like they’re going down for the count, but “On that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the LORD before them. It shall be on that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn” (Zechariah 12:8-10). They will see the Lord “whom they pierced.” I wonder who that could be. The amazing thing is that this was written by the prophet Zechariah over 500 years before Jesus came to earth the first time. It is stunning how many Jews have denied Jesus as the Messiah. But in His amazing grace, He will gather all of His followers, return to the Holy Land where He was rejected, slay the armies that come against Israel (Zechariah 14:3, 9:16; II Thessalonians 2:8; Revelation 19:21) and give all of the remaining Jews one last chance to finally be saved by Him (Romans 11). Zechariah 14:3: “Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of battle.” The Antichrist and his army will actually have the audacity to fight against Jesus Christ and His army of saints: “Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army” (Revelation 19:19). All born-again believers will be right there with Christ, in their eternal bodies, as He defeats the armies that have come against Him and His chosen nation. I don’t think it will be much of a battle as “the Lord Jesus will overthrow him by the breath of his mouth” (II Thessalonians 2:8). As Daniel wrote 2,600 years ago regarding the Antichrist,“he will be destroyed, but not by human power” (Daniel 8:25).The Antichrist and the False Prophet will be thrown immediately into the Lake of Fire by the Lord (Revelation 19:20). Then, Jesus will go up and place His feet on the Mount of Olives, which is where the Jews are actually expecting their Messiah to come because this prophecy is from their Scriptures:“On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives” (Zechariah 14:4). When Jesus arrives at the Mount of Olives, all the Jews are going to rush out to meet their Messiah, not knowing who it actually is. They will be weeping and bowing to worship Him, and then, one perceptive Jewish person will notice ugly scars in His hands and His feet. Zechariah 13:6: “And one shall say unto him, “What are these wounds in thine hands?” And His response will be amazing: “Then he shall answer, “Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.” And they are going to respond trembling, “You’re…Jesus?” He will say, “Yes, I am Jesus.” At this moment, over 2,000 years of blindness will be peeled away from their eyes. “From that day forward the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God” (Ezekiel 39:22). They will say, “Messiah, we are so sorry! We have been so blind for so long! Can you ever forgive us Jesus?” And of course, He will forgive them and accept them as His children. What a glorious day it will be! I wouldn’t miss it for the world. “The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel. "Then you will know that I, the Lord your God, dwell in Zion, my holy hill. Jerusalem will be holy; never again will foreigners invade her” (Joel 3:16-17). Jesus will then establish His Kingdom with His saints here on earth for 1,000 years of peace. Isaiah 11:6-9 describes this time like this: “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child put his hand into the viper's nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.” It will be a thousand years of amazing peace and goodwill towards men as Jesus “will rule the world with an iron scepter” (Revelation 2:27) and His followers will reign with Him! Revelation 20:4: “I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the Word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” II Timothy 2:12: “If we endure, we will also reign with him.” Daniel 7:27: “Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.” After this thousand year reign of Christ on earth, known as The Millennium, Christ will judge the living and the dead for every thought, word, and deed each person ever committed. Romans 2:16: “God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ.” II Corinthians 5:10: “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.” I Corinthians 4:5: “He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts.” All of the things you did that you thought were “good deeds” will be counted as “filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6) if not done for the glory of Christ Jesus. “All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord” (Proverbs 16:2). Many people think they are getting away with their self-indulgence, selfish money-making, idolatry, and multitude of other sins, “but they will have to give an account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead” (I Peter 4:5). Revelation 20:11-15: “Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” The “books” (plural) contain everything you’ve ever thought, said, and done. Therefore, since we are inherently sinful, we are “by nature children of wrath” (Ephesians 2:3). Needless to say, no one will be saved by “the books.” The only ones who will be saved are the ones whose names are written in “the book of life.” To have your name in the “book of life,” there is only one way-that is to be born again through Christ Jesus (John 14:6, John 8:24, Acts 4:12, John 10:9, John 3:3). Merely believing in God cannot save you. Confessing Jesus as “Lord” cannot save you. Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord,’ did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness’” (Matthew 7:21-23). These are people who went to church and even confessed Jesus as “Lord.” They thought they knew Him and were working for Him, but He will say to them, “I never knew you; depart from me.” You must be born again through Christ Jesus to receive the propitiatory sacrifice that He freely offers (Romans 3). When Jesus was on the cross, the eternal wrath of God the Father-the same wrath that is in Hell and is intended for you and me-was poured out fully on Jesus even though He never committed a single sin. And because He lived a perfect life, living up to the perfect standard that we all fall far short of, we can receive that perfect record since He took our filthy, nasty record upon Himself. God’s justice can then be fully satisfied. He is so loving and gracious to even think about doing that for us when we have done nothing whatsoever to deserve it. The exchange must be made: your life for His death. “You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again’” (John 3:7). As you can see from Revelation 20:15, “If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” God must cleanse creation of all its wickedness before He can restore things to perfection, and that wickedness includes you and me apart from Jesus Christ’s righteousness being imputed to us. "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one” (Romans 3:10-12). Matthew 25 describes what will happen: “All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.’...Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.’...Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” This will be indescribably dreadful for those who doubt these very words, but it will be the most glorious time ever for those who have truly put their faith in Jesus Christ. His faithful followers will “rejoice in their inheritance and everlasting joy will be theirs” (Isaiah 61:7). All creation will be restored (Romans 8:21). Jesus and His saints will usher in a New Heaven and a New earth in which His children will live with Him forever and ever. You do not want to miss out on this for eternity! Revelation 21:1-5: “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling place of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making all things new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
