I received my BSc on ECE in 2009 and MSc on Computer Graphics in 2012 at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Campus Guadalajara, Mexico. Since May 2013, I have been a PhD student of Biomedical Engineering at the Biomedical Signal and Image Computing Laboratory (BiSICL) in the University of British Columbia (UBC). I worked in collaboration with the Qatar Robotic Surgery Centre in Doha, Qatar as part of the Image Guided Robotic Surgery (IGRS) team. Previously, I was involved in human-robot interaction and biopotential acquisition/analysis projects within the biomechatronics lab.

I have also participated in the Microsoft's Imagine Cup 2009 in Cairo, Egypt in the Embedded software development category, achieving 4th place.
