The FICS Standard Club (FSC) is for chess players who want to play a (long) standard game at the same time and same place every week. Usually anyone can find a 15 0 or 20 0 or even 30 0 game on any given evening. But weekly G/60, G/90 or even G/120 games are harder to come by. The FSC encourages players to play the longer standard games.
FSC hours are 19:00 to 22:00 (FICS server time / Pacific Time) every Tuesday & Thursday. Join channel 111 to find other players in the club. Channel 111 is a public channel, but it will be easy to remember.
I will show up at 19:00 (FICS time) every Tuesday & Thursday if anyone wants to play me.
So feel free to stop on by, say hello and play some loooong games! If the club takes off and really becomes something, then we can perhaps start a ladder, tournament and other fun stuff.
