How was Delicious integrated into the South Florida Oceans & Beaches Project?
  • The students used Delicious to keep a running record of the online sources that they used for their project
  • They were required to paste the link into their account and then add appropriate tags
  • This provided an easy way for the students to refer back to material they had researched online as well as a method of citing their sources
  • I was able to easily review the sites on their Delicious pages and use that as a teaching tool on what makes a website reliable

How can you integrate Delicious in your classroom?
  • As a teacher you can create a Delicious account to keep websites easily accessible to integrate within your lessons
  • Lab teachers could use a Delicious account as the homepage for the browser; They can then populate the account with the sites the students need to use in class - this way it is easier for students to access the required sites for class lessons
  • Students can use Delicious as a way to save frequently visited sites
  • Students can use it to keep track of sources they are using for a research project
