How can you integrate ArtPad in your classroom?
- Have students illustrate and label difficult concepts
- Students can illustrate literary scenes and then write descriptive passages
- For younger students you can create picture books as a class (great use of the text tool)
How do you get started using ArtPad with your students?
- Go to http://artpad.art.com/artpad/painter/
- This program is very self-explanatory
- Use the text tool to write text, the paint bucket to fill the canvas with larger portions of pain, use the paintbrush for finer details
- Use the color picker to chose the color and the opacity to change the transparency
- Undo to reverse any of the painting you would like undone
- When you are done, select a frame, and you can hang it in the gallery
- You can also save and send your artwork; this will send you an email with the link to access your artwork in the future
- When you view your artwork, you can view the process of what it took you to make the work or just view the final product
