  • Can show the strokes that it took to make the painting
  • Ability to mix colors and more closely resembles actual painting when compared to other sites
  • Ability to paint online and share your painting by emailing the link or by printing
  • Can add text to the drawings

How can you integrate ArtPad in your classroom?
  • Have students illustrate and label difficult concepts
  • Students can illustrate literary scenes and then write descriptive passages
  • For younger students you can create picture books as a class (great use of the text tool)
How do you get started using ArtPad with your students?
  • Go to  http://artpad.art.com/artpad/painter/
  • This program is very self-explanatory
  • Use the text tool to write text, the paint bucket to fill the canvas with larger portions of pain, use the paintbrush for finer details
  • Use the color picker to chose the color and the opacity to change the transparency
  • Undo to reverse any of the painting you would like undone
  • When you are done, select a frame, and you can hang it in the gallery
  • You can also save and send your artwork; this will send you an email with the link to access your artwork in the future
  • When you view your artwork, you can view the process of what it took you to make the work or just view the final product
