!!NEW!!Ask Louise!Use messenger style chat technology in your local library or in the comfort of your own home to chat LIVE with Louise Welsh.
Louise Welsh is the author of three novels, ‘The Bullet Trick’ (2006) ‘Tamburlaine Must Die’ (2004) and ‘The Cutting Room’ (2002) all published by Canongate Books. Her most recent award is City of Glasgow Lord Provost’s Award for Literature. The first book she remembers being read to her is Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘Treasure Island’ which frightened her into refusing to go to bed – a massive rebellion in the Welsh household. Her interest in Stevenson has persisted and she has presented radio features on his work and life, written a preface to Canongate Books’ edition of ‘Kidnapped’ (2007) and even managed to interview the great man for Zembla. Session will run from 2 - 4pm. Instructions on how to log on for free are available here.
