Fernando Azevedo is a Professor in Children's Literature at the University of Minho, in Braga, Portugal, where he teaches and supervises postgraduate research in Children's Literature and Reading Didactics. He has written several books and around 20 articles about Portuguese Children's Literature. More recently, he has published a book on Reading Development and Children's Literature. His primary research focuses on Portuguese Children's Literature, Hermeneutics and Literacy.
