For the last 4 years, the FHC has operated out of the Dayton Hamfest as Special Callsign, W8H. The FHC Road Krew has braved heat, rain, wind, power problems and a bit of magic smoke  to give the Feldhell Club a little  presence at this monster event. Captained by our fearless and foolhardy leader, W8LEW, each year a group of diehard FHers has made the pilgrimage to Dayton with vehicles loaded with every piece of  equipment we could think of to get on the air and promote our club. 

This year, Lou (W8LEW), Scott (N8VSI), Joe (KJ8O), Larry (KB8POD), Moj (W8MOJ) and yours truly (KD8GNC) made the trip. Setup began early Friday morning and within a short time (we have had some practice!) we had tables, tents, antennas and rigs setup. (Add info from Lou an Scott on early operational issues)

One of our main goals at Dayton is to create interest in the mode and sign up new members. Our membership manager, Larry (N9LFC), was unable to attend this year, so Joe filled in as our front man, collaring the unwary and signing up a boat load of new members (see below).
