Learn about new technolgies, job openings and communicate with current and previous MATC Students. Please include your name when you apply and what class you are enrolled in.   Directions and the form for application can be found here.

 CBT Nuggets

CBT Nuggets are available to you when you are enrolled in an IT class.  You will be given access within 2 weeks into the semester. The Accessing CBT Nugget Video walks you though accessing them. Make sure to change your default password the first time you login.  You can access the actual CBT Nugget Videos here.

MSDNAA Program

The MSDNAA program allows the student to obtain software from Microsoft for free.  MS Office is not included in this program. You will receive an email approximately 2 weeks into the semester from Microsoft Elms site with information on how to access the site.  The email maube tagged as SPAM.  Make sure not to delete this message by mistake.

Virtual PC and Vmware

We use both Microsoft's Virtual PC and Vmware in our classes and labs.  This software will allow you to create and work with virtual machines on your PC at home. The base requirement is RAM. I recommend a machine with 2 gigs of RAM. You can find more Virtual PC and Vmware Resources

Virtual ONLINE Machines

All students can have up to 4 dedicated online machines made available to them.  They work great for labs, assignments and just exploring an OS.  We currently have Vista, XP and Server 2003 available.  Learn more about this

Blackboard, Email, and other links and resources

  • Blackboard - used for online assessments in classes.
  • Student Email - should check at least once a day or forward to an account you check at least once a day.
  • Infonline - for checking final grades, class schedule and program information.
