Reader in Statistical Genetics and Epidemiology

I am interested in the genetic epidemiology of common disease, particularly in statistical methodology and computation. My research interests include
  • Analysis of genomewide association scans, especially multiple testing problems
  • Association analysis with missing data, especially in family-based designs
  • Disease risk prediction using genetics
  • Causal inference with Mendelian randomisation

I collaborate with groups studying a range of complex diseases including

  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Schizophrenia
  • Breast cancer
  • Osteoporosis
  • Autistic spectrum disorders
