Full Professor

I joined the faculty in January 2007 and started the local Information Retrieval Research group. I arrived in Lugano after  several years spent in Scotland, where I still have a part-time Professor position at the Department of Computer and Information Sciences of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. So, if you cannot find me in Lugano, I might be in Glasgow, or attending some conference somewhere in the world!

My main areas of research are Information Retrieval, Text Mining, and Digital Libraries.
