From UofC to UBC
11 day cycling event from Calgary to Vancouver
a distance over 1000 km
Starting July 3, 2010, 8:30 AM
MacEwan Student Centre, University of Calgary
Two University of Calgary graduate students (Mehdi Tabe Arjmand & Mohsen Andayesh) will be cycling from Calgary to Vancouver in 11 days to raise awareness and support for the work of FCLCC. Follow Mehdi and Mohsen before and during their journey through their blog! We hope to hold a kick-off event at UofC and a wrap-up at UBC. Plans for the ride include spreading the word through FCLCC T-shirts, making video clips, live blogging, and handing out brochures at various stops along the way. Everyone is welcome to the kick-off departure where we will accompany the cyclists to the city limits or at least a few kilometers. Come and cycle with us for the grand departure day and have fun. Ask your family, friends or co-workers to sponsor your ride and help us raise funds!
