Abby attended this camp last summer; it is an
empowering quality summer camp experience. It is a leadership camp-
she spent a week at the school with a couple of very intelligent, kind
and spiritual college girls (camp counselors) along with Sr. Madeleine
and Sr. Helen. Besides excellent leadership training, she spent time
painting, sculpting, journaling, playing games, hiking, building
campfires; she cooked with them and even spent time playing scrabble
with Sr. Ann Marie among a long list of other activities. When I spoke
with her each night, I noticed a maturity and peacefulness that I
attributed to her surroundings. She loved it and was sad for it to
end. I was so impressed with the program that I told Sr. Madeleine
that I would spread the word- I feel this is such a crucial age for
young girls in our society and to have a safe forum to talk about
relevant issues, learn leadership skills and have a bonding experience
with peers is just so worthwhile. I can honestly say this was a
tremendous experience for her. --Colleen Byrne
