Gijs Plomp

I study the dynamics of functional connectivity between brain areas in humans and in animal models using EEG and Granger causal modeling. My main research interest is to better understand the large-scale dynamics of visual processes in the brain. I received an  Ambizione grant from the Swiss National Fund to this work at the Functional Brain Mapping lab.

I studied cognitive and biological psychology at the University of Amsterdam and hold a Ph. D. from the University of Sunderland for my work on visual completion phenomena, done at the Riken Brain Science Institute in Tokyo. I was a post-doc at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland).
