2009 Donor Request Letter (PDF attached)

May 14, 2009

Dear 4-H Auction Contributor:

The Fourth Annual Fayette County 4-H Benefit Auction is scheduled for 6:30PM, Friday, July 31, 2009, at the Fayette County Fairgrounds Youth Building.  In 2008, we earned more than $9000.00 and were able to offer ten scholarships to Fayette County 4-H youth!  In addition, the proceeds from this event benefit the Fayette County 4-H/Youth Development Program including over 2000 members from traditional, school enrichment, and   after-school programs, and over 80 volunteers in Fayette County.

If you have supported our auction in the past, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!  If you are new to our auction, we welcome your involvement and look forward to working with you.

By donating to the Fayette County 4-H Benefit Auction, you will receive:

-          A sign for you to hang in your business or home to show that you supported our 4-H Benefit Auction

-          Tax Benefits: All donations to the Fayette County 4-H Youth Development Program are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

-          Recognition in our Auction Catalog and at the Fayette County Fair

-          FREE admission to the fairgrounds on July 31st  to attend our auction

-          New for 2009! Businesses that make a donation valued at more than $100 will have their business card printed in the Auction Catalog.  Business cards and items must be received by July 1, 2009 to guarantee print space.

Please feel free to contact me at 724/331-4814, or Cathy Brady, 4-H Youth Coordinator, at 724/438-0111, with questions about our 4-H programs or this fund-raising effort.  More information can be found by visiting http://fayette.extension.psu.edu/

We would be very grateful for any donation you could make.  In the past, we have sold items such as home, garden, and livestock supplies; crafts and collectibles; restaurant gift certificates; and hotel and resort stays.  Entertainment items have included tickets to amusement parks, sporting events, and other local attractions.     The highlight of our auction has been themed baskets filled with various items that are assembled by the 4-H clubs. Monetary donations are also appreciated and checks can be made payable to Fayette County 4-H Development Fund.

Without the contributions of valuable community and business leaders such as you, we would be unable to continue to provide quality educational programs for youth in Fayette County. Thank you once again for your support of Fayette County 4-H.

Sincerely,

Victoria L. Ansell-Baker
