2009 Benefit Auction

Member Information

 

Member Checklist – Please make sure that you complete the following for each item that you collect.

 

When getting your donation did you remember to:

               Give business a donor letter

               Collect the item(s)

               Collect the white copy of the donation form and make sure that it is neat and completely filled out

               Attach business card to donation form (if you received one from donor)

______   Leave the yellow copy of the donation form with the donor

               Give donor a Free Admission Letter

               Give donor an Publicity Poster to hang in their business (optional)

 

Please remember to:

               Report items and give white copy of donation forms to your club Auction 

               Ambassador or Vickie Baker as soon as possible

______   Bring donated items to the 4-H/ Youth Building by July 30^th, 5:00 p.m.

 

If the business/donor is not interested in making a donation, that’s okay. Invite them to come to the auction as a buyer and offer them a Free Admission Letter as a potential buyer. Also, ask them if you can hang a publicity poster.

 

Timeline

May/June        Start getting donations - Contact your Club Ambassador with your donations as soon as 

                        you get them.

July 1               Deadline for businesses to submit business card for publishing in Auction Catalog

July 30             All items must be brought to the 4-H Youth Building by 5:00 p.m.

July 31             Benefit Auction – 6:30 p.m., 4-H Building, Fairgrounds

**Proceeds from this event benefit the entire Fayette County 4-H/Youth Development Program including over 2000 members from traditional, school enrichment, and after-school programs, and over 80 volunteers in Fayette County. In 2008, we provided 10 educational scholarships for current and past members.
