This just in.....Due to a conflict the Milford at Nagel Blue boys game scheduled for tonight (1/17) has been postponed until next Tuesday January 24th.
Please note the scheduling change. The game between Loveland and Milford boys that was scheduled for Dec 14th has been rescheduled for Saturday Jan 21st, beginning at 1:00. This will be an 8th grade only game.
The seventh grade girls game scheduled next Thursday between Winton Woods and Little Miami has been moved to Winton Woods starting at 6:30. It will be part of a triple header with the Little Miami at Winton Woods boys games.

This isa bitter sweet welcome back as it is the final year for the FAVC. Let's end a great run with a great fall. The middle school athletic directors would also like to take a minute to thank former Commisioner Steve Borich for all his hard work, dedication and many years of service to the FAVC. We wish him well in his future endeavors and may a hole in one be a part of it. They would also like to give Ray Spicher a warm welcome as he takes over the reigns for the final mission. Schedules have been updated. Please keep in mind they are posted as provided. Some scheduling changes may have occured. They will be updated once submitted.

Volleyball update from Talawanda: The Edgewood at Talawanda game scheduled for Wed October 6th has been moved to Tuesday October 5th. In addition the Talawanda at Ross game scheduled on October 18th will begin at 4:15.
This just in; the Loveland at Wilmington games scheduled for October 28th has been changed to Wednesday Oct 27th.
There has been a time change to the October 21st football game at Turpin H.S. Loveland vs Nagel Silver start will now be 5:00 for seventh grade with the eighth grade to follow.
It is time!!! Today starts competition in league play for all volleyball teams. It also starts play with our new divisions of East and West. Good luck to all volleyball this season!!!!
Welcome back to another year of great middle school/junior high competition. With the departure of Amelia to the SBC, the FAVC has now gone to two divisions for all junior high sports.
The East Division will consist of Glen Este, Kings, Little Miami, Loveland, Milford, Nagel Blue, Nagel Silver, Walnut Hills and Wilmington.
The West Division will have Edgewood, Harrison, Mt. Healthy, Norwood, Pleasant Run, Ross, Talawanda and Winton Woods.
The football and volleyball schedules have been updated for the fall of 2010 based on the information that was provided.

A huge shout out to the FAVC TRACK CHAMPIONS FOR 2010. In the Buckeye division LOVELAND had a clean sweep winning both the boys and girls meet. In the Scarlet division TALAWANDA boys and girls were also both victorious. Results from the Cardinal division have not been submitted.

In the East Girls Tournament at Little Miami it was a night of upsets as both #2 Seeds knocked off the #1 seeds. In the seventh grade final Walnut Hills beat Milford 27-26 in overtime. In the nightcap Loveland ended Wilmingtons hopes of an undefeated season with a 20-18 victory. Great night of basketball Ladies!!!!!
In a hard fought and well played contest Winton Woods defeated Milford 40-39 to claim the 8th grade boys championship on Tuesday evening. Congratulations Warriors!!!! Great season to both teams!!!!
We crowned our first tournament champions this past Saturday. Congratulations go out to the Knights of Pleasant Run as they beat Kings 39-32 to claim the title. Great season fellas!!!! Congratulations to the following schools who claimed regular season championships in basketball.

Big game in the 8th grade girls buckeye division as Milford travels to Loveland. Both teams enter the game 8-1 in division play. Milford won the first matchup on their home floor. The winner tonight will claim the FAVC Buckeye Division. Good luck to both teams.

Due to Norwood playing their first tournament games on Friday Feb. 5th, the Nagel Silver at Norwood boys games have been cancelled and not rescheduled.

This week we start Divisional play in boys and girls basketball games. In girls basketball, after four games, we still have five undefeated teams. This includes both the Edgewood seventh and eighth grade teams. On the boys side, after two games, eleven teams remain unbeaten. Good luck to all teams this week.

This weeks DID YOU KNOW?? features Ross Middle School. DID YOU KNOW?? that Kennesaw Mountain Landis was the first commissioner of organized baseball, including both the American and National leagues. He was a federal judge and an ardent baseball fan, After the 1919 Black sox scandal baseball owners decided to appoint a commission to restore confidence to the sport. He was named sole commissioner . Kennesaw Mountain Landis was born in Millville, Ohio a village in the Ross School district.

This week in football we have in the 8th grade undefeated Glen Este hosting undefeated Loveland. Loveland puts their two year undefeated mark on the line.
The volleyball week is highlighted in seventh grade with 8-0 Nagel Blue hosting 7-0 Milford on Monday the 28th. On Wed. the 30th we have a show down in the eighth grade scarlet as Norwood hosts Talawanda in a match up of teams unbeaten in divisional play.

Highlighting this week in football is the backyard brawl out in West Clermont. We have the Barons of Amelia heading to Glen Este. This will be the last time these two schools match up while both teams are members of the FAVC.
We start the week in volleyball with more cross over games including Harrison at Ross. Divisional play begins on Wed as the quest for the regular season title begins.

Middle school football kicks off this week with crossover games, including the backyard brawl between Harrison and Ross at Ross. Good luck to all teams.

After one week on the volleyball hardwood, in seventh grade Nagel Blue, Nagel Silver and Glen Este all started hot winning both matches. On the 8th grade front Kings and Glen Este both started off 2-0.

We are less than a week away from kicking off our fall sports seasons. Next week all volleyball teams kick off play highlighted by the long standing rivalry Amelia at Glen Este on Monday August 31st. Football will see only a handful of schools starting on Thursday Sept 3rd. Good luck to all teams as they start up competition.
Welcome to the new and improved junior high/middle school website for the Fort Ancient Valley Conference. With the 2009-2010 sport seasons upon us, the league is preparing for several changes. This is the final year for Amelia in our Conference as they move to the SBC beginning next school year. The middle schools will be re-aligned into two divisions, east and west. The west division will include the following schools: Edgewood, Harrison, Mt. Healthy, Norwood, Pleasant Run, Ross, Talawanda and Winton Woods. The east division will include the following schools: Glen Este, Kings, Little Miami, Loveland, Milford, Nagel Blue, Nagel Silver, Walnut Hills, and Wilmington.
Secondly Winton Woods will not be competing in sports for the 2009 fall season. Winter and Spring seasons are in limbo pending the passage of their levy in November.
New this fall, the Loveland Middle School football team will be playing all of their home games at Loveland Middle School. The one exception is the September 16th game against Kings will be played at Loveland High School.
