Membership in Altrusa
 
Fauquier County Altrusa members welcome interested individuals to attend a dinner meeting. Club dues are $95 per year.
 
About Our Club
 
Altrusa is an international volunteer service organization providing community service.  Our club is part of Altrusa's District Two, which includes clubs from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia.
 
Recent and Current Service Projects
  • Two yearly scholarships for Fauquier County students
  • Dances for the specially abled - spring and fall
  • SAVVI program (Sexual Assault Victims Volunteer Initiative) in Warrenton, Virginia
  • Children's book giveaway during the annual Warrenton holiday parade
  • "Welcome to School" bags for Head Start students, containing age-appropriate activity books and crayons
Past Service Projects
  • Assistance at GED graduation ceremonies
  • Preparation of felt display boards for use in the classroom by elementary school teachers
  • Donation of personal care items to family shelters
  • Assistance for needy families
  • Donations to the Fauquier SPCA
In addition, our club has supported the Altrusa International Foundation, which provides grants for worthy projects in the United States and internationally.
