Club Secretary Says

Hi Everyone

Firstly, date for the next managers meeting is 21st May at St. Gregs, 8pm start.

We have now affiliated with the FA, and all 6 teams are registered with their respective leagues.

More good news as it seems we may nearly have enough players to form an U9's team. I'm going to do a leaflet drop into the primary schools before they close for the summer to encourage a few more U9's to come down and make numbers up. We have coaches in place to take them on they could well be entered into the league for the coming season.

Our efforts as a club on Sunday helped raise over £200 which considering the weather and the fact they were charging for car parking was a great effort and thanks to everyone who assisted on the day and in providing tombola prizes. Hopefully the fun day at St. James's on 31st July will be just as successful for us. Watch this space for more events in the coming months which will hopefully involve everyone in the club, players, parents and managers.

More good news, we are now a charter standard football club.

So, after all the skeletons that have come out of the cupboard in recent weeks, we seem to be getting somewhere with everything and by tackling one thing at a time, we'll probably be in a better position come the start of the season than we were at the end of last week and this weekend.

Big thankyou to everyone for helping out and pulling together when we've asked for it. It goes to show that when everyone communicates then things get done a lot quicker. I think we should all be proud of what we've achieved so far given the mess everything was in when we took it on. Still lots to do but we can start to see a bit more light at the end of what was a very dark tunnel last week.

Thanks for your support
