Child Protection

The Club recognises and accepts its responsibility for the safety and welfare of all children and young people who come to the club by protecting them from physical, sexual or emotional harm and from neglect or bullying.
Ÿ
The child’s welfare is, and must always be the paramount consideration.
Ÿ
The club will ensure that there are practices and procedures in place to reduce the risk of harm to children and young people at the club.
Ÿ
The club has a designated child protection officer who accepts responsibility for monitoring all club procedures in relation to child protection issues.
Ÿ
All Full members will be subject to local Football Association child protection registration. In addition pre-qualification to full member status will be completion of checks by the criminal record bureau, in accordance with Football Association and Bolton ACPC Child Protection Procedures
Ÿ
Parents and children coming to the club will be made aware of our child protection policy.
Ÿ
Any information passed onto a club official relating to any form of abuse will be acted on immediately.
Ÿ
The club accepts and will conform to the Football Association child protection policy published May 2000 and the procedures and practices handbook published November 2000.The club will ensure a programme of Football Association accredited Child Protection training for all Full members.
Ÿ
It is the parents/guardians responsibility to arrange transport to and from venues for their child. Any Club Official who knowingly arranges transport with Associate members or non-club members will be reported to the disciplinary committee.
