Art Show Problems

posted 12 Sep 2010 01:13 by Stephen Theaker   [ updated 12 Sep 2010 09:35 ]

A message from Guy Adams, FantasyCon Chair, about this year's art show:

As some of you may know a last minute disaster has befallen the art show this year. The co-ordinator has dropped out due to personal reasons leaving us with mere days to bring everything together. Unfortunately the show really does need sorting from scratch and we'll need the kind indulgence and support of all the artists in order to make it happen. Steve Upham has kindly stepped into the breach to assist in co-ordinating efforts so can I ask that all artists who were hoping to exhibit drop him a line on steve@screamingdreams.com as soon as you can. Even if you've already contacted us please do so again. We are also going to need people willing to help man the show, safeguarding the work and selling prints. If you are willing to help in that regard please also let Steve know.

By hook or by crook we'll have an art show to be proud of!

Come along and join editor STEPHEN JONES and numerous contributors for the launch of the new anthologies ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!

A “mosaic novel” set in the near-future, when a desperate and ever-more controlling UK government decides to restore a sense of national pride with a New Festival of Britain.

Confirmation emails

posted 6 Sep 2010 04:14 by Stephen Theaker

I've just sent out confirmation emails to everyone registered for FantasyCon, except for two or three people who haven't provided email addresses – I'll contact them by post.

If you (or if you're part of someone else's party, the person who bought your ticket) didn't get an email, and you're coming, let me know via membership@fantasycon.org.uk, so we can figure out why I don't know about you yet...

Interested in giving a reading?

posted 4 Sep 2010 02:06 by Stephen Theaker

There's a lot of interest in giving readings at FantasyCon, and attendees who completed our online registration form will have had the chance to express that interest.

If however you sent in a paper booking form, now's the time to let us know if you'd be interested too: email fcon@britishfantasysociety.org. Note that places are limited.
