| Faith was an essential part of our family growing up on a farm in central Missouri. There is probably no other occupation where it is so necessary to believe that God will provide. We had faith that He would send the rain and the sun to make the seeds grow and produce, and that He would provide good weather for us to harvest the crop. It was my father's belief that he was called by God to be a farmer, and that performing the labor of tilling the land was his way of glorifying God. Whatever we do in life, we are also called by God to do His work in that area. We are not doing our job on our own, He is guiding us.
