Welcome to my home page. I am S. M. Faisal Iradat, lecturer at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA).
At IBA we have the Center for Computer Studies (CCS) and I belong to the faculty of CCS which is headed by Dr. Sayeed Ghani (http://sayeedghani.iba.edu.pk/). I teach Digital Design, Computer Architecture, Microprocessor Interfacing and related courses to the undergrads.
Besides teaching at IBA, I am also pursuing my PhD in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) from CCS, IBA. My PhD supervisor/guide is also Dr. Sayeed Ghani and together we have jointly published research papers and were also awarded funding from the HEC (www.hec.gov.pk) in 2006. My research interests includes performance analysis of wireless networks, Call Admission Control (CAC) startegies, MANET, and Simulation.
I also like to work on embedded systems and made my students develop such systems. This year two of my students Arsalan and Rafay really worked hard and developed an anti-theft gsm based system and an efficeint energy (electricty) conservation system. I will also be working with them in future to develop a PBX system using Asterisks DIGIUM.
My extracurricular activities are to play pc games, solve puzzles, write C# program and much more. I also have a huge collection of stamps. |
