About Us
Fairfield Bushwalking Club was established in 1979. It is a not-for-profit, volunteer association managed by a committee. We aim to arrange weekly walks on Sundays and occasionally weekend camps. We also organise car camps normally on long weekends. Members and prospective members on Club walks are covered by personal accident and public liability insurance through the Confederation of Bushwalking Clubs NSW.
Where do we walk?
Most of our walks take place in the Sydney area including the Blue Mountains, Royal National Park and Ku-ring-gai Chase. On long weekends we arrange car camps in the Sydney area as well as further afield to areas such as Canberra, the South Coast and the Central and North Coast.
What if I am new to bushwalking?
We have walks of varying levels of difficulty ranging from easy to hard. Prospective members must contact the activity leader a couple of days prior to ascertain the meeting place and to ensure that the walk suits your fitness ability. Beginners are welcome. We encourage visitors to join our walks and give it a try. However, if you are new to bushwalking, please contact Jenny on 94845763 or Mobile 0410 382 133 to obtain further information about the program.
