Join Fairfax County ARES®

Amateur Radio operators interested in joining Fairfax County ARES® should visit here.  

Weekly net

The Fairfax County ARES® Net may be found on the 146.790 MHz (-0.6 MHz offset, no tone) NV4FM machine at 2010 every Wednesday (following the NVFMA Bulletin). 

Training

In addition to the ARRL ARES training, the Colorado and Kentucky ARES training materials are particularly good.

 

If you have completed IS-100 / IS-700 training, and submitted your course completion record (the email you receive from FEMA), thanks! If you haven't, please visit FEMA.gov and complete those courses as soon as possible.
