  • AIRTRAIN
A train leaves from the international and domestic terminals to the city (Central, Roma Street and South Bank) about
about every 20-30 minutes. It costs $13.50 each way and takes about 20 minutes to get
into the city. Some of the train services do not stop at South Bank so
check the timetable if you wish to go there. http://www.airtrain.com.au/

GETTING AROUND BRISBANE

A "daily" ticket costs $4.80 and will allow you to travel on buses, trains and the CityCat (ferry) all day within Zone 1 ($5.80 for Zones 1 and 2 - needed if you want to go for a 'sightseeing' ride up the river on the CityCat).

The website for public transport is: http://www.transinfo.qld.gov.au/

There is also a free council bus service which travels around the CBD (The 'Free Loop')

The public transport stops closest to The Ship Inn are the ferry terminal at South Bank, the Cultural Centre Busway and the South Bank Railway Station. The ferry terminal in the city is called North Quay. You can get the ferry across the river to South Bank.

From South Bank ferry terminal, turn left (facing South Bank) and keep walking (5-10 minutes) and you will find yourself at The Ship Inn.
From the Busway, go up to the bridge and turn right (facing the city) to walk through South Bank to The Ship Inn.

The Ship Inn is just by the Goodwill Bridge - a pedestrian bridge which connects South Bank to the Botanic Gardens on the city side. If you get lost ask ask someone where this is and they'll point you in the right direction.

If walking from the city you can either cross the Goodwill Bridge, or go over the Grey Street bridge and then walk through South Bank.
