"I have no special gift - I am only passionately curious." Einstein I am passionately curious about understanding human behavior. Specifically, how do people make decisions? How do we change people's minds and actions? My related work and research experience so far has been on travel pricing and supporting large-scale/long-term decision-making. You can find out more by visiting my LinkedIn page and reading my Master's thesis (all links open in new windows). Naturally then, I'm a big fan of TED and connecting with people who love ideas. I organized one of the earliest TEDx events, a small and intimate affair with four speakers and 50 attendees. I'll be attending TED Global in Edinburgh in July 2011. I would love to get in touch via TED or Twitter. My hobby is in observing everyday design, because I believe it affects people sub-consciously. I keep a tumblr on everyday design. I'm a polymath-in-training, so a natural habitat for me would be environments where different disciplines converge and intersect, like BarCamps and similar events like blinkBL_NK. I'll be speaking at LitCamp and I really enjoyed the recent SaturdayInDesign. They actually recorded my blinkBL_NK talk on air ticket pricing. I think I spoke too quickly. Check out some of the stuff I made some time back: Photography (Boston | Block Party | Overall Height | Lightning Rod) I enjoy distance running, particularly half-marathons. My last run was the Sydney Morning Herald. |
