WANTED:  VOLUNTEERS

Want to learn more about Eyak while preserving a priceless part of the past?  We are looking for 1 to 5 people who want to transcribe the so-called Lost Eyak Tapes.  These recently repatriated  audio reels have nearly 5 hours of Eyak recorded in 1961 of Marie Smith Jones, Lena Nacktan and Anna Nelson Harry.  The Alaska Native Languages Archive at the University of Alaska- Fairbanks is working on breaking these recordings into smaller clips.  We should have access to them by mid-May.
