Sunday 0ct. 9, 2011, as part of my cardio training, I was running on a tread mill at the UW Sports Medicine Center. With not much to do for the next 20 minutes or so, I stared out the full pane window in front of me at the trees turning to the fall colors across the street. My attention was drawn to a yellow/orange-hued tree positioned between two still green trees. As I continued to stare at the middle yellow foliage, my eyes began to pick out various shapes among its branches and leaves. Suddenly I saw the tree metamorphose into a leafy yellow Netherland dwarf bunny. The two short stumpy ears at the top, the black left eye just below and forward of the left ear, the puffy cheek below the eye. To the right of the cheek the slightly darker orange brown of the nose. Down the chin and the throat until we come to the two front stubby feet, the yellow-orange right paw and the green left paw. It's hard to see; just keep looking for the bunny in the tree. I sighted this after about 10 minutes of just staring at it. Once I saw it, I could not NOT see it. When I was done exercising I drove home, grabbed my camera and drove back to the health science building. I walked up the sidewalk to the position outside the window behind which was the treadmill from which I had first spotted the bunny. I pointed my camera across the street and tried to capture the image of the tree bunny. I was glad I took the time to do it then; on my next visit 2 days later more of the foliage had fallen and the tree bunny was no longer visible. This will probably be appreciated by only bunny-owning people, so this is especially for them! :-)

September 14, 2011 Today was a day off work for me. But not a holiday. Top Left: I needed a stress test so at 8 AM i went to my Doctors office and they stuck me in this machine. Twice. For those that don't know trust me it's not fun. A Three hour deal. Injected with radioactive stuff. Take pictures with this machine. Run your ass off on a treadmill. Another injection. More pictures. Top Right: After lunch with Deb I treated my self to a beer at the Mellow Mushroom. Bottom left: I treated my self to another beer at Rock Bottom. Bottom Right: Home safe and sound with a shot of the billboard for the fall Nascar race. All in all a busy day. I get these tests done every other year. Make sure the ticker is in good shape. I wish I had a real day off but that's life.
