Programme

Friday 10/04

Evening

Arrival of ESL visitors around 6pm. You will be notified by SMS/telephone if there is any delay. All meet at Martlesham Heath car park next to Doctor's surgery. Drinks reception (about 1 hour) held in the Pavillion. Visitors will be introduced to their hosts and spend the evening with them. Hosting families should pair off for the evening where possible.


Saturday 11/04

Morning

All meet at 8:30am on the Green for the tournament. We will run two 7-a-side tournaments in parallel, one for the U11 and one for the U12, with 6 teams per age group. The first game will start at 9am and the last game will finish at 11:30 leaving 30 minutes for presentations. The Pavillion will be open and provide access to toilets. We will also run a stand to serve hot drinks, snacks, etc.

Lunch

Hosts take their guests back home after the tournament (12am) for showers and lunch.

Afternoon

All meet at MH car park at 1:30pm. The french coach will then take the visitors to Portman Road. MYFC families who have requested match tickets will travel to the stadium by their own means. Once at Portman road, the ESL/MYFC group will be split into two:

- one group  will attend the match (Ipswich vs. Doncaster, kick-off 3pm).

- the other group (currently 5 ESL parents) will visit Ipswich.

The two groups will reconvene at 5:15pm to board the coach. Hosts will pick up their guests at MH car park at 5:45pm.

Evening

The venue for the evening is Martlesham Community Hall. The party will start at 7:30pm with a beer and cider tasting event, followed by the dinner and then a race night to finish at 11:30pm.  The meal will include a main course, a soft drink for children or alcoholic beverage for adults and a dessert. The club will run the bar during the evening. 


Sunday 12/04

Morning

All meet at 9:30am at MH car park. The french coach will take the visitors to Woodbridge for a 2-hour excursion. MYFC families are free to join by their own means. Hosts will pick up their guests at 12am at MH car park. 

Lunch

Families bring their picnic to the Pavillion and Scouts House from 12am onwards. 

Afternoon

Two MYFC/ESL games and possibly a parents game will be played at the Western Corridor. Players meet at 2pm for photos, etc. The first game will start at 2:30pm and the last game will finish around 5pm. The Pavillion will remain open until 5:30pm.

Evening

The venue is Martlesham Community Hall. The evening will start at 7pm and finish at 11:30pm. Families are expected to bring their own food for themselves and their guests. The dinner will be followed by a disco.

All meet at MH car park  at 9:30am for the departure of visitors.
