Dr. Georgia Bonnny Bazemore leads Eastern Washington University's effort to excavate the Rantidi Forest site on the southwest coast of the island of Cyprus. These excavations began in 1995 and continue to provide fascinating insights into the relgious life of the ancient Mediterranean and early Cypriote writing systems. She will be leading a team to Cyprus in the summer of 2009.
