Eco-dome - San Jacinto, Mexico

Dustin James is building a Eco-dome at a small non-profit retirement house in Northern Baja. He is applying sustainable building techniques learned from the Cal Earth institute which makes use of sandbags and soil as there main building blocks.  This home will be approximately 400 sq ft. and will serve as a house for a young Mexican couple that has devoted themselves to serving elderly men and help them die with community and dignity.

Opportunities are available in both design and on-site construction.  Trips are taken about twice a month.
For more details email Dustin James at dustinfjames@gmail.com.  Note: While the project is not an EWB project it is very much in the spirit and a great opportunity to learn about sustainable building.
