Mission
EWB-USA supports community-driven development programs worldwide by collaborating with local partners to design and implement sustainable engineering projects, while creating transformative experiences and responsible leaders

Vision
Our vision is a world in which the communities we serve have the capacity to sustainably meet their basic human needs, and that our members have enriched global perspectives through the innovative professional educational opportunities that the EWB-USA program provides.

Donate your computer/tech equipment to BOOTUP!

Our local computer and science education project, BOOTUP, is happy to receive your equipment donations.  We refurb these donated equipment for use in charities, schools, and any other organization that might need it.

We are registered with Microsfot as an Authorized Refurbisher.  You can also find our info at techsoup.org.

  • Winter 2012: Week 4 Updates January 31, 2012 Hello All,Updates from this week's general meeting of Engineers Without Borders are as follows:1. We had a guest speaker, Jake Allison, from a program called GIVE, or Growth International Volunteer Excursions. They offer opportunities for students to travel and work on construction projects in the developing world, while integrating some adventure tourism into the program. They are particularly interested in enginering students and the unique expertise they can bring to some of their more challenging projects, one of which is a water sustainability project in Nicaragua.   • Winter 2012: Week 3 Updates January 24, 2012 Hello all, I hope you all had a great third week.  In case you missed the meeting this week:1. We may be doing Tree People with the USC chapter and Cal Poly Pomona on March 3rd, though I am still waiting for confirmation from them.  This would be a fun event for people from both chapters to get together, plant some trees, and meet students from other schools and learn about their projects in a causal setting.  2. Some members from the Nicaragua team went to the Engineering and Technical career fair on Thursday to hand out informational packets inviting sponsorships for their project.  From what I heard it went well, I am sure they will ...

  • Winter 2012: Week 2 Updates  January 17, 2012 1.  We decided to get rolling on T-shirts this week, and thank you to Kelsey for volunteering to spearhead that!2. The 2012 UCLA Engineering Tech Forum is coming up on March 13th.  There will be a student poster competition, where students will have the opportunity to present their posters to attendees including Industry representatives, and be in the running for a $600 prize! The deadline for a poster submission is Feb 1st, and we discussed each project entering.  Details are below3.  There is a possibility of having a community service event (for fun) with some other EWB chapters this quarter or the next.  8th week has been suggested but at this stage this is ...
