Classroom News

Thanks for the many things you have done to make our classroom run smoothly and help your child have a successful year. 

We appreciate all of the volunteers during lunch and carpool.  Please check the volunteer calendar for available dates if you are interested in helping, and email Mrs. Turner to request dates.

Please make sure you read the First Grade Spelling Procedures Information carefully.  You should have your child do a different activity every night and document it in their spelling notebook.  Please be sure to date your work. A spelling test will be given every Friday.  Math homework will go home daily.  Make sure your child is reading to you at least 15 minutes every night.  Please sign the reading log with this information.

Also, please read the MOOSE Folder daily.  There are many important notes each day.

Your child's MOOSE folder should be viewed and signed daily.  Please be sure to place notes in the front, homework in the back, and ALL money in the zippered pouch. 
 
We are accepting CASH only for supplies and subscription payments.
 
Please remember we have gym on Tuesday/Thursday (every other week beginning July 25th).  Students need to wear tennis shoes on these days.
 
All work sent home on Friday is to be kept.  Send ONLY the folder back to the school. 
 
Please label all snacks with your child's name.
 
Don't forget to join PAL.
 
Please review the new tardy and uniform policies.  A written note is required for an absence to be excused.  Also, first grade does not require belts.  Contact us if you have any questions.
