Laurel End
House is a four storey Victorian terraced house dating from 1870. Originally
the terrace belonged to the three Crossley brothers who owned Crossley Mill
which used to be in directly in front of the house. Part of this building is
now the Children's centre opposite, the rest has been demolished. Nowadays the
guest house regularly plays host to visitors from all over the world. We
especially welcome walkers and cyclists, students, families and small groups as
well as couples. We have WIFI here. We can provide vegan or vegetarian
breakfasts and cater for other special dietary needs on request. Our prices
include continental breakfast with a full English cooked breakfast available
for a small supplement. It may be possible to house your pet for a small extra
charge (depending on other bookings).
All the rooms are Victorian in style being spacious, light and airy with large windows. The attic room has exposed beams and a stone arch. We offer a range of single, twin and double rooms, and a family room. Each room is equipped with a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. We have two rooms next to each other on the first floor, the Marina Room (double with King size brass bed) and the Woods Room (let as either twin, single or double). These rooms are useful for friends or family members visiting together. The bathroom is next door. The family room is on the second floor and has a double and three single beds suitable for children. It is en suite and is divided into two with adjoining doors. This room can also be let as a double or twin or for small groups. The Marina room and Attic have pleasant open views over the park, canal marina and the hills beyond. The Woods room has views up into the woods opposite. Please state when booking if you want en suite accommodation or private bathroom facilities. We are a part of what made Hebden Bridge "the 4th funkiest town in the world". This quirky old house is not your standard B&B. For a start it is characteristic of local split level buildings, being three storey at the front and four at the back. We offer vegan and other specialist breakfasts as well as vegetarian. We welcome children and teenagers. We have an extensive local knowledge of this area, having lived here for over thirty years, and can advise on various grades of walks. Entertainment including pubs and clubs, local places of interest, activities for children etc. ![]() Hebden Bridge Rental |
