Student and Teacher Resources
The Open Science Network provides a collaborative forum for educators and students to create a new paradigm of science education. The purpose of this project is to create new curriculum that will keep the learning fresh, innovative, and engaging to each generation of students through the medium of ethnobiology.

Critical Activities
The focus of the Open Science Network will be to develop curriculum modules that empower educators and students to learn about the science of ethnobiology either within ethnobiology or ethnobotany courses or through modules about ethnobiology designed for implementation in other science courses. The network will more effectively engage students in science through the creative use of common technological tools that promote scientific inquiry.
Survey of Existing Modules
Module Link: The survey page is a collection of modules currently in use. Use this page to register your curriculum lesson plans or units. Find also an extensive annotated list under Tools & Information. This is a very free-form exercise that is intended to be broad in scope.
Module Index
Module Index: Here is where you'll find evaluated modules and where you can post your critique of modules. Join a discussion on what should be included in evaluations. Find an existing module under the Module Link or under Tools & Information. You are invited to supply a module summary under the Module Index page. Teachers are invited to supply a Module Teacher Evaluation, and students are invited to supply a Module Student Evaluation.
Module Production Module Table: Here is where you will find a table of modules, including links to modules and evaluations of modules and where you can link your own critiques. Module Gaps: Here is a wish list of modules (some in production and others are not). You are invited to add your own list of modules that would be beneficial.
Survey of Model Repositories Repository Survey Link: We are looking for places that we might want to store our modules. Please enter sites that are open-source collections.

Useful Tools and Information
Tools & Information Link: The focus is mostly on module creation, evaluation and pedagogy. However, we have a list of useful links that include teaching modules posted by others. Find here annotated links to the major science/anthropological education web pages posted by organizations and institutions.
TED Talks Link: A series of TED talks is used at the University of Hawai`i to stimulate discussion on ethnobotanical and research topics. This link provides easy access to a set of these talks.

Press Kit Link: We are collecting ideas for materials that we can use to distribute that describe the Open Science Network and which invite participation. Join our Facebook Group Virtual Meetings
Participants in this program hold meetings
periodically. We are currently using Adobe Connect. This lets us hold
large meetings where we share audio, video and display materials (such
as PowerPoint).
