Would you like to stay in a waterfront cottage on The Gulf? Would you like to be only 10 minutes away from one of Virginia's most famous golf courses--the Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer designed golf courses at Bay Creek in Cape Charles, Virginia? How about being near exceptional restaurants, the charming small towns of Eastville, Cape Charles, Exmore, and Onancock, where boutique shopping and dining experiences await. Would you like to be near Cherrystone Creek, the Gulf, and of course, spend endless hours either fishing the bay or fishing from the ocean side? Would you like to visit the Eastern Shore's wineries, go antique shopping, or birding? We are also only an hour away from Chincoteague, Virginia--where the wild ponies roam! Reserve early for Pony Penning week--it is one of the busiest times on the Shore!
If you are looking to experience the beauty and versatility of a vacation on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, then rent one of our two warm and spacious cottages in the private cottage community of Smith Beach, near Eastville, Virginia. Smith Beach is a family-friendly cottage community that features the largest, most beautiful private beach on the bay side of the Eastern Shore. White sandy beaches, great fishing right in front of the cottage in "The Slew", and a private boat ramp make this one of the most desirable rental and permanent residential areas on the Eastern Shore.
Our family is offering two cottages for weekly rental -- Daddy's Money at 16255 Smith Beach Road and, with limited availability, we will be renting our home cottage, School's Out (15512 Smith Beach Road), a waterfront cottage on The Gulf, a kayaking paradise that opens into the Chesapeake Bay.
To view Slide Shows of our cottages and Smith Beach, visit my blog, Blog by the Bay. Note: Daddy's money is no longer available--it has been sold.
When looking for a google map for directions to our cottages, try our addresses at Cape Charles, Virginia instead of Eastville. Same place, but somehow our addresses show up in google maps as Cape Charles instead of Eastville!
School's Out 15512 Smith Beach Road Smith Beach Eastville, Virginia
School's Out is our family's waterfront cottage that will be rented out weekly on a more limited basis than Daddy's Money. School's Out is a waterfront cottage on The Gulf and is directly down the street from the Smith Beach community's private boat ramp. Unload your boat once--then tie it to the pier for the week. Or, just fish from School's Out's private pier! School's Out also has a small sandy beach where you can launch your kayak! Kayaking The Gulf is one of life's greatest pleasures--you'll see deer and raccoons on the shore, bald eagle's flying overhead, and countless types of other wild birds. This cottage is our family pride and joy and is only being offered for rent a few weeks a year. Call early to reserve your week at this beautiful, 1 year old cottage. Cottages at this end of Smith Beach also have access to a smaller private beach on the Chesapeake Bay that is an easy walk from this cottage, or you can park at the beach access for Daddy's Money. This cottage has one bedroom with a queen sized bed, and one bedroom with 3 twin beds (a bunk bed with 2 twins and a single bed). There is a well-appointed kitchen as well as a bathroom with shower and 1/2 bath adjoining the master bedroom. This cottage has heating and air conditioning. Cottage rental fee is $995.00 per week (see terms in rental document for deposit and payment requirements).
